Chapter 65ARIAJulian woke at eight fifteen.I heard him before I saw him, the sounds of movement in the bedroom, the bathroom tap, the particular sequence of a person assembling themselves after a difficult night. Eli had gone back to his room to play, and I was sitting at the table with my second coffee and my phone face down in front of me when Julian appeared in the doorway.He had changed his clothes.
