Lahat ng Kabanata ng MATERD TO THE SON OF THE DEMON KING: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

My legs were barely steady, my hand shaking violently against the wall. I parted my lips and they shook.Years ago, werewolves and demons had gone to war.It was a power imbalance. They claimed to be more powerful than us, so they deserved to rule over us. Werewolves had claws, supernatural strength, and a strong sense of smell, but that was it. Demons, on the other hand? They had a strong sense of smell, they were strong—even stronger. Their eyes glowed red in their true form. They could drain a werewolf’s strength just by touching them, making them powerless. The demon king and the alpha king at the time finally agreed to separate and form their own kingdoms. The demon king formed a bigger kingdom with powerful soldiers. He was known for ruling with an iron fist. But everyone knew one thing. Demons never came here, and werewolves never went there. Why was he here? His fingers gripped both sides of my arms tighter. “You are trembling... stop,” he choked out. “You… you are a de

The transition from being an invisible nobody to the absolute epicenter of school gossip happened in less than twenty-four hours. When I walked through the double doors of Nevermore High the next morning, the typical low hum of morning chatter instantly died down to an eerie, suffocating silence. Necks snapped in my direction. Whispers erupted like a sudden wildfire, passing from locker to locker as students openly stared, pointed, and snickered.*“There she is.”**“The pathetic wolfless girl who wrote that letter.”**“Did you hear what the new boy did to Nicholas yesterday? He actually slammed him against a locker for her.”*I clamped my jaw shut, gripping the straps of my backpack until my knuckles turned white. My face burned with a toxic cocktail of lingering humiliation and sheer anxiety. I kept my eyes glued to the scuffed linoleum floor, desperately wishing the ground would crack open and swallow me whole. The memory of Lydia reading my private, raw confession to the entire hal

The air at Nevermore High was really creepy that Tuesday morning. It was not the usual tired feeling I get in the mornings. The whole atmosphere felt heavy and weird like the air was charged with electricity. This made the tiny hairs on my arms stand up. Every shadow in the hallway seemed long and every whisper from the other students felt like a needle poking at my nerves.I kept looking down at the floor trying to blend. The school was really quiet which was scary. Usually the social groups were like a war zone with insults and mean stares.. That day it felt like a funeral. I just wanted to get through the day without anyone noticing me. The silence was like a predator waiting for me to make a mistake.During my class I could not focus at all. Every time the door opened my heart started racing. It was just a late student or a teacher. I was wondering where Timothee was. My mind kept going to the thing he found the one connected to the name Kaelen. I remembered how Timothees face tur

Timothee's POVThe question wouldn't leave me alone because nobody outside my aunt was supposed to know I was here. So how did Kaelen find me so fast?I immediately pulled out my phone before I could talk myself out of it and called her.She picked up on the third ring. "Timothee, it's late. What is it now?" She said"You know what it is," I said. "Kaelen found me. I need to know how.""I already told you I don't know," she said."You're lying." I said angrily.Silence stretched on the line. "Aunt Raven." I shouted."Watch your tone with me," she said."Then give me something real," I said, gripping the phone tighter. "Nobody outside you was supposed to know where I was. So either you told someone, or someone told you, and you're not saying which."She sighed, long and tired. "The witch," she said finally. "The one who gave the prophecy about your cure. She wasn't chosen randomly, Timothee." It seems she was choosen by someone whom I'm not sure aboutMy chest went tight. "What does th

Timothee's POVI sat on the edge of my bed, still in my hockey gear, staring at nothing.I kept replaying it in my head. Her lips on mine. My hand pulled her closer instead of pushing her away. The way it felt nothing like a cover l, and everything like something I'd wanted longer than I wanted to admit.I was supposed to be angry at myself for losing control on the ice. Instead, I was angry that the kiss ended."Get it together," I muttered, while dragging both my hands down my face. Then my phone rang before I could sit with that thought any longer."Aunt Raven?" I said."Timothee." Her voice was different this time, tighter. "I need you to listen to me carefully.""What's wrong?" I asked, looking worried."The witch. The one who gave the prophecy about your cure.""What about her?" I said."She's gone. Nobody's heard from her in two days."I sat up straight. "Gone how?" I asked."I don't know. She doesn't answer calls, she hasn't shown up at the temple. This has never happened befo
