Lahat ng Kabanata ng stop calling me little sister : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

I was fourteen the first time I met Luca Bennett.Five years later, I still couldn't decide whether meeting him had been the best thing that ever happened to me... or the worst."My annoying little sister is in the backyard," my older brother, Noah Carter, called over his shoulder as he walked into the house with his best friend.Curiosity got the better of me, so I peeked around the corner. That was the moment I saw him.Luca Bennett.Dark hair that looked like he'd run his fingers through it one too many times, hazel eyes that seemed to laugh before his lips ever did, and a smile so unfairly perfect it should've come with a warning label. He caught me staring."Who's this?" he asked, tilting his head toward me.Noah sighed dramatically. "My little sister, Evelyn Carter. Don't let the innocent face fool you. She's a menace.""I am not," I protested.Luca chuckled."Nice to meet you, Evelyn."That smile.God, that smile.I was fourteen, awkward, wearing oversized pajamas and braces I

Gosh all I want to run my hand through his hair and lick his chest because fuck they so neat I lost it for a moment, he noticed I was drooling he snapped "Hello, pervs," he said casually.I froze.Perv?Did he seriously just call me that?I looked at him, completely offended."Perv? Did you just call me a perv?" I pointed at him. "You walked downstairs wearing nothing but a towel, and somehow I'm the pervert? Come on, Luca."A small smirk tugged at his lips, clearly enjoying my reaction.I could feel my face heating up, so before I embarrassed myself any further, I turned around and walked upstairs as quickly as possible.Of course, I tried to make it look graceful.Keyword: tried. The moment I closed my bedroom door, I leaned against it and let out a frustrated sigh. Why did he have to look like that?My mind immediately replayed the scene I was desperately trying to forget—the way his hair was still damp from the shower, the drops of water disappearing as they slid down his skin.

It was finally the weekend.Which meant one thing at my college—basketball game day.The entire campus was alive. Students filled the stands, music blasted through the speakers, and everyone was wearing school colors. And unfortunately for my sanity...Luca and Noah were playing.Normally, I would've gone with my parents, but they were returning home today, and Noah had to pick them up from the airport.I should've gone with him.I really should have. But as part of the cheerleading team, I had responsibilities.Which meant I was stuck with Luca.Alone.In his car.The silence was unbearable. It had only been two minutes since we left the house, but it felt like an entire hour.I stared out the window, pretending the view outside was the most interesting thing in the world.Anything was better than acknowledging the man sitting beside me.Finally, Luca broke the silence."Isn't that dress a little short?"I slowly turned my head.Did he really just say that?I looked at him, completel

Luca's POVThe image refused to leave my head.Evelyn. in that red dress. The way she'd smiled.I let out a frustrated sigh and rubbed both hands over my face."Get it together, Bennett."I walked into my room and slammed the door a little harder than I intended. She was Noah's sister. That should've been enough. It had always been enough. So why wasn't it enough anymore?I grabbed the TV remote and flipped through channels.Nothing.I picked up the novel lying on my nightstand.I read the same sentence four times without understanding a single word. With another groan, I tossed the book aside and lay back on my bed."This is ridiculous."The more I tried not to think about her...The more she invaded every thought.Evelyn's POVI flopped onto my bed, hugging a pillow as I replayed Luca's expression over and over again. He'd frozen. He actually froze.I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling."Maybe Ariana was right..."Maybe he was finally beginning to see me.A sudden vibration pull

Evelyn's POV woke up late. Very late. The kind of late that made you question every decision you'd ever made. I shot upright and grabbed my phone. "Oh my God!" I had completely forgotten about school. I barely remembered falling asleep. I'd cried for what felt like forever before exhaustion finally took over. But surprisingly, the first thing on my mind wasn't Luca. It was the decision I'd made sometime between my tears and sleep. I was done. Done chasing him. Done trying to make him notice me. Done analyzing every look, every word, every little thing he did. Luca had made it clear. I was Noah's little sister to him. Maybe I needed to accept that. Was it going to be easy? Absolutely not. I'd liked him since I was fourteen. Five years wasn't something I could erase overnight. But I had to try. For my own sanity. "Okay, Evelyn," I whispered, jumping out of bed. "New day. New beginning. No Luca." I rushed into the bathroom. I rushed through
