Chapter 1 Give It To Me~OLIVIAThis wasn't the ideal place to unwind, but I didn't give a fuck when I walked in here, ready to give my virginity to the first handsome man I'd come across. But I've laid my eyes on four men, and still I felt... nothing."You seem lonely." The bartender, Ted, passed another drink my way."I do?" I grabbed the drink and tossed it down my throat, wincing as it stung. It was hard to get a pass into this bar. According to Bella, it was the best and elite bar for the rich folks.I was broke, yes, but for tonight, I intended to taste something far better than poor made Volka."I've worked as a bartender for two years, and I know lonely people; I read them like I read labels on unmixed tonic." I hissed, downing another shot of hot Vodka. "Be careful, love. Gulping Vodka like that— I'd be cautious if I were you." When I turned around, I wasn't expecting to see a Greek God in human form.I swallowed

Chapter 3 Coincidence?~OLIVIAI chickened out.Bart, whom I had planned to call Barry if we ever ran into each other again, though I doubted we ever would because I’d already ruined everything—sounded like a child’s name. But that man was all hard edges and dangerous charm, definitely not a child.Barry and I had a good night; he became a two-night stand, and when I heard the alarm ring at 5 a.m., instead of getting his number, I chickened out and ran out of his penthouse. It was childish of me, and I know it.Bella chewed my ears out on Saturday morning, telling me she would drag my ass to Valentine again, but I wouldn't be going.A one-night stand is supposed to be a one-night stand."Are you done?" Bella asked, touching my already caked-up face with powder.I was called for an interview at one of the biggest companies in New York, Hade's Corporation. I never thought I'd be called for an interview when I applied to be th

Chapter 5 Let's get married~OLIVIAI have worked for Bartholomew Hades as his personal assistant for two weeks. Two good weeks. Two weeks of excruciating pain and longing. Two weeks of planning for several blind dates for him.I wondered why a man like him would be going for blind dates. He could go to the streets of New York and get as many women as he wanted, all for free. Two weeks ago, Mr Hades had sent me a message to meet up with him and talk. I declined the message, telling him it would be inappropriate to talk to him outside the office, considering our relationship.I think that message had triggered something inside him.He rarely talks to me; he keeps his distance, and if we're five feet close, he would back away as though I reek of cheap perfume, but I know that's not the reason, so I try my best to ignore him and do my job perfectly, and I think it's been going well.I had a word with Rachael over the phone, and sh

Chapter 7 Not enough ~OLIVIAI'm more surprised than Diane, but I don't show it. Yes, he told me he wanted to use this opportunity to show me off, but imagine when the most powerful man in the room tells the world you're his...fake or not, it makes my heart skip a beat as I turn to glance at him. He's not smiling; in fact, he looks agitated as though he has a personal vendetta with Diane.Diane's brows lift half an inch. "Your fiancée? Wow." She passes me a small smile that screams fake."I didn't realise you were seeing anyone, Bartholomew. This is... how wonderful. When did this happen?""Recently," he says, and his hand slides fully around my waist now, pulling me a fraction closer to himself. This is what I signed up for. This is it...fake and alluring enough that everyone thinks it's real, and he's playing it just fine."Very recently.""Very recently," I echo, my gaze on his...not on his face but his eyes. His beautiful
