MasukChapter 4
Anything you say goes~ BARTHOLOMEW The music lowered with every step I took to the third floor. Daniel, Isaac and Liam were already seated, waiting for me. I was supposed to be in New Orleans today for a business deal, but when Mr Rufus got in the way of another business of mine without minding his business, I cut the deal and tossed him to the sharks. It wasn't ideal to bite the hand that feeds. And I also didn't plan on coming here today, but I had to get her out of my head. It was disturbing, too disturbing that one woman, one small woman, would be so engraved into my mind this hard. Was it because I took her virginity? No, it wasn't. I felt that way, way before I even walked up to her. "That's my man!" Isaac yelled, slapping the ass of one of his girls. They were curled up on the couch, overlooking the downstairs of the club where the booming music was booming harder. "Liam, Isaac and Daniel." I acknowledged my best friends and took a seat. "Are you okay? You said you had something to tell us." Yes, I did. "Uhm, I met this girl." "Please don't tell me you fell in love." Isaac cried out. "There's plenty booze and women here, and you'll settle for one ass?" "Can you please shut up and let him talk?" Liam, the quiet one, said, and I sighed. It was fucked up. My mind was fucked. Every time I closed my eyes, all I could see was her. "So I met this girl, two weeks ago at Valentine's. She was at the bar drinking, and I sought her out. We had sex, and she was a virgin." "But you don't do virgins." "Exactly. She told me she was a virgin, but I felt nothing. No repulsion. We had sex two weeks ago, and then we also had sex last week....at my penthouse." "This is an issue? Are you sure she didn't use something on you? You took her to your penthouse? Women are always in the hotel...never the house." Isaac said again, and a glare from me made him shut up. "Seems I'll have to go," I said. "No, we have to figure this out. Besides, Isaac will keep his mouth shut and concentrate on his fucking girls." Daniel said, and Isaac nodded, pulling the girls closer. He is wasted. You could literally smell the liquor on his breath. "So that's the problem," Liam said. "Of course that's a problem. That's a big problem, Liam. I can't think, I can't imagine something in my head without her interfering. It's as though I got a new mind and brain installed in my head. I took her to my penthouse, bro." I had never done what I did before. Not only had I taken her to my penthouse, I fucked a virgin. It felt so good; she felt so good in my arms. I've never felt anything like that. And I loved it and hated it at the same time. "And her?" "She left in the morning when I was asleep." "And she didn't steal anything?" Daniel raised a brow. "No, she didn't. I checked the cameras. She only took her dress and left me a stupid note." I hissed, ruffling my hair. Now, that's not even the worst part of all this. I'm sure they'll be revelling if they knew my main issue. "And she'll begin as my personal assistant tomorrow morning." "Are you insane?" Daniel asked. "This is too big a coincidence. Not only did you two meet at Valentine, a place you frequent, but she also applied for a job as your assistant. What if she's a spy?" Liam asked. He was the reasonable one among the three. He could think critically, and I liked that about him. "I don't think she knew. If she did, I would know." They both nodded. "So what's your problem? That she's coming to work for you while you're still trying to get her out of your head?" "Something like that." I frowned, watching a man at the bar of the club from where I sat. He had his hand on a girl's ass while she struggled to escape him. I gestured at one of my men, and they located the fucker, dismantling him and dragging him out of the club. New Wine was one of my many clubs, and one thing I hated was men trying to get their way without consent. I heaved a deep breath. Olivia Benedict Hayes has been bothering me for a while now. It's been a long time since I let people into my private life, and in such a short time, she has done things many would dream to do. I was expected to be married when I turned thirty-one, or else I wouldn't have access to my trust fund. Of course, that wasn't possible, so I had a plan of finding a female who would play the part. "It might be a good thing. You have to get past this trauma, and I think she'll be the best person for the job since...you know, you two have something going on." Liam said. Yes, we had something going on. But that was past tense, and I would never have something going on with my employees again. The constant reminder of how bad mingling with your employees can do to you is engraved on my skin. Picking up my phone, with renewed curiosity and longing, I do something stupid once again. I sent her a message. "Hello, Olivia. This is Bartholomew. Can we talk?" TBCChapter 6 Precise~OLIVIA Three days of thinking over and over again about what I really want.I push the mug of coffee away from me as a sigh leaves my lips.It shouldn't be this hard. I should've been over this the same day.I should've told him 'no' that day and got it over with. But I didn't. Why? I really don't know."I think I'm sick," I tell Bella, and she nods. She's opening a new account on Tinder, searching for a man who would not only love her but also her new cat she's about to purchase."Here, read this and get better." She says, placing the contract file on the table slab in front of me.I push it away, glaring at her from the side of my eyes. She shrugs."Many people would read the part that says 'Anything you want' and get better, Olivia." She shakes her head and continues with her search."You don't understand. This is Bartholomew Hades. If anything goes wrong, my reputation will be ruined and...imagine
Chapter 5 Let's get married~OLIVIAI have worked for Bartholomew Hades as his personal assistant for two weeks. Two good weeks. Two weeks of excruciating pain and longing. Two weeks of planning for several blind dates for him.I wondered why a man like him would be going for blind dates. He could go to the streets of New York and get as many women as he wanted, all for free. Two weeks ago, Mr Hades had sent me a message to meet up with him and talk. I declined the message, telling him it would be inappropriate to talk to him outside the office, considering our relationship.I think that message had triggered something inside him.He rarely talks to me; he keeps his distance, and if we're five feet close, he would back away as though I reek of cheap perfume, but I know that's not the reason, so I try my best to ignore him and do my job perfectly, and I think it's been going well.I had a word with Rachael over the phone, and sh

Chapter 3 Coincidence?~OLIVIAI chickened out.Bart, whom I had planned to call Barry if we ever ran into each other again, though I doubted we ever would because I’d already ruined everything—sounded like a child’s name. But that man was all hard edges and dangerous charm, definitely not a child.Barry and I had a good night; he became a two-night stand, and when I heard the alarm ring at 5 a.m., instead of getting his number, I chickened out and ran out of his penthouse. It was childish of me, and I know it.Bella chewed my ears out on Saturday morning, telling me she would drag my ass to Valentine again, but I wouldn't be going.A one-night stand is supposed to be a one-night stand."Are you done?" Bella asked, touching my already caked-up face with powder.I was called for an interview at one of the biggest companies in New York, Hade's Corporation. I never thought I'd be called for an interview when I applied to be th

I jumped as Bella slammed the pedal on the table slab, her eyes suspiciously eyeing me as a mother hen would."What?" I questioned, pushing the pedal away from my coffee cup."Do you have something to tell me, Olivia? Cause I think you do." She raised her brow.Of course, I have something to tell her, but I don't want to tell her that at the moment."I don't. If I do, you'll know, right?""Okay. I gave you time, plenty of it, to tell me what happened last week Friday, but since you won't talk... I'm going to have to push it out of you." Bella said, and I sighed, watching men and women run down the lane."So, you got a pass into Valentine. You didn't go back home that night, and the next morning, you called in sick and didn't come out for exer
Chapter 1 Give It To Me~OLIVIAThis wasn't the ideal place to unwind, but I didn't give a fuck when I walked in here, ready to give my virginity to the first handsome man I'd come across. But I've laid my eyes on four men, and still I felt... nothing."You seem lonely." The bartender, Ted, passed another drink my way."I do?" I grabbed the drink and tossed it down my throat, wincing as it stung. It was hard to get a pass into this bar. According to Bella, it was the best and elite bar for the rich folks.I was broke, yes, but for tonight, I intended to taste something far better than poor made Volka."I've worked as a bartender for two years, and I know lonely people; I read them like I read labels on unmixed tonic." I hissed, downing another shot of hot Vodka. "Be careful, love. Gulping Vodka like that— I'd be cautious if I were you." When I turned around, I wasn't expecting to see a Greek God in human form.I swallowed
