Chapter 1

When the security guard kicked open the door and saw this odd sight, he hastily took several steps back, as though he had seen a ghost. There was a stir among the crowd before my childhood friend, Selena Shandler, shoved her way through the throng of people and rushed into the equipment room.Upon hearing the commotion, I snapped my eyes open. When Selena's familiar face came into view, I sighed in relief and called out in a sleepy voice, "Selena, he was using a pair of scissors just now to—"Before I could finish speaking, the sound of hurried footsteps rang out.The campus hunk, Theodore Caldman, had lunged forward to grab Selena's arm before hiding behind her. Putting on a terrified expression, he said, "Selena, save me! I just wanted to ask him why he kept harassing my girlfriend with text messages, but he suddenly went crazy and started beating me up! He even wanted to kill me with the scissors!"I was surprised at his move. It figured that a manipulative pretty boy like h

The next day, the university forum was in an uproar.Theodore had uploaded his medical injury report and crafted a woeful tale that painted him as the victim. He claimed that I had failed to seduce his girlfriend, Lana Quill, and in my embarrassment, had turned my anger on him and beaten him up badly.Almost immediately after that, the student council posted an official announcement."Due to Michael Lund's disorderly conduct and the serious disruption it caused, he is hereby issued a major demerit and will forfeit all conduct credits for the current semester."The announcement had been signed off by Selena, the student council president. On my way to class, everyone I passed by kept whispering to each other while pointing at me. Someone had even dumped my course textbooks into the trash bin.Instead of kicking up a fuss or getting angry, I simply calmly retrieved my textbooks, dusted them off, then headed straight for the student council office.Selena was sitting at her desk, s

The water suddenly calmed.Theodore, whose foot was still pressed down on the kickboard, let out a triumphant laugh. "And here I thought that you would struggle a little longer. Is that all you have?"However, he didn't get to bask in his victory for long, as a hand abruptly burst from the water and seized him by the ankle."Ah!"He was only able to get one surprised shout out before the hand tugged hard, forcefully dragging him into the deep end of the pool.Under the water, my split personality had now taken full control over my body. My eyes were closed as my hand clamped around Theodore's neck and pinned him to the bottom of the pool.Outside the pool, when Lana saw what was happening to her boyfriend, she yelled his name before jumping into the water to save him. She swam over to me and raised a fist, ready to punch me.My eyelids didn't so much as twitch as my free hand snapped out to grab her wrist. Subsequently, I pinned her to the bottom of the pool as well, her muscled

When the video finished playing, the public hearing venue was so silent that one could hear a pin drop. The cheerful campus hunk persona Theodore always put on had been ripped away, revealing his true colors.A cacophony of whispers broke out in the gallery. "Holy shit, how very wicked of him! Using a pair of scissors to disfigure someone's face?""Didn't he claim that he was the victim when he posted that article on the forum before? Turns out he was just flipping the script!"All color drained from Theodore's face, and his lips trembled faintly as he protested weakly, "T-that must be edited! He must have used AI technology to put my face there! I never did that!"However, all those who had once thought he was a harmless guy with a sunny disposition and who had insulted me on his behalf were now silent as they shot him dirty looks. That had Theodore panicking, and he instinctively grabbed Selena's arm. "Lena, help me explain to them! Tell them that I'm not that sort of person!

Chapter 5

The proctor blushed bright red after she finished reading the note on the back of the cheat sheet.A dead silence descended upon the classroom.Theodore's eyes reddened as he pointed a finger at me and spoke in an aggrieved tone, his voice quavering. "Michael Lund! Not only did you bring a cheat sheet into the exam, but you still aren't giving up on seducing my girlfriend? Just how shameless can you be!"The room erupted into loud whispers as the shocked looks the other students shot me turned into disdain. At that moment, Lana, who was seated diagonally behind me, suddenly jumped to her feet. Her face was twisted into an expression of righteous anger as she raised her phone high and walked to the front of the classroom where the lectern was."Ma'am, I can prove that Michael Lund is trying to seduce me!"She connected her phone to the projector, then showed everyone a screenshot of a chat window with someone saved as "Michael Lund", who had sent her several suggestive messages.

"Selena, not only are you blind, but it looks like your brain isn't working either," I uttered as I remained in my seat, absolutely refusing to leave.Selena's expression darkened. "Lana has already shown everyone your chat history with her, yet you're still trying to make excuses?""Make excuses? Do I even need to?"With a scoff, I stood up and headed straight for Lana. She instinctively took a step back, likely still traumatised by the time I performed CPR on her at the pool the other day."Take your phone out and show everyone that screenshot again, that so-called solid proof that you have," I ordered while looking her straight in the eye.Lana steeled herself and pulled up the screenshot again. "Fine! Everyone, take a good look! These messages really were from him!"Pointing at the photo, I pinned her and Theodore with a look that implied that I thought they were idiots."Firstly, I use a Robot phone, while the icons in the status bar at the top of your photo are all from P

Chapter 7

Selena's hand gripped my collar as she said self-righteously, "Michael, you need to own up to your mistakes. As long as you admit to them, I won't let you be expelled—"She didn't get to finish before my eyes rolled back, and I fell asleep on the spot. My body immediately went limp.Caught off guard at my sudden dead weight, Selena staggered and instinctively released me, sending me falling to the ground. However, right before I was about to crash into the ground, my body abruptly tensed and sprang up.My eyes were tightly shut, and even a faint snoring could be heard. Nonetheless, my movements were so fast that nobody could get a clear look.Selena still hadn't steadied herself yet when I backhanded her across the cheek, causing her to spin half a circle on the spot.Clutching her rapidly swelling cheek, she stared at me in complete disbelief, her ears still ringing with the blow."Lena!" Theodore cried out.Although Lana had realized that she had been tricked, her pride refus

Once this incident reached the Office of Academic Affairs, the nature of the issue changed.Theodore had been caught red-handed while cheating, so according to the university regulations, he would be placed on disciplinary probation, at the very least. At worst, he might even be outright expelled. As for the paper ball he had kicked toward me, after comparing the handwriting, it was proven that he had indeed intended to frame me.Nonetheless, people like Theodore never seemed to learn their lesson or give up even when the situation was already dire for them. He called his nouveau riche father, who rushed here overnight. In the Head of Academic Affairs' office, his father slammed a hand on the table and made a huge fuss, attempting to downplay the seriousness of Theodore's cheating by shifting the attention to how I had violently beaten Selena and Lana. They even arrogantly threatened to have me arrested by the police, adamantly insisting that I had a serious mental disorder and

Chapter 9

The End-of-Semester Student Leadership Awards Ceremony was held at the campus hall.Selena had chosen to dress smart, putting on professional attire. Though half of her face was still faintly swollen, she still put on the airs of some accomplished young prodigy.Standing on the podium, she launched into a grand speech about "honesty", "campus discipline", and "the duties and responsibilities of student leaders"."As students, we need to make honesty and integrity our motto. As the student council president, I have an even greater responsibility to lead by example and firmly oppose any behavior that would undermine our campus community…"Below the stage, Theodore sat in the very first row, head tilted back as he stared at Selena with stars in his eyes.Meanwhile, Lana sat in one corner of the last row at the back. Bandages were still wound around her chest, and her expression was distinctively aggrieved as she also listened to Selena's speech.I stood outside the control room on t

Chapter 10

After the awards ceremony, the police and the university simultaneously launched an investigation into the matter. With the video and voice recording as concrete evidence, it didn't take long for the university board to come to a decision. Three days later, the verdict was out.Selena was removed from her student council president seat and expelled for serious violations of university rules and regulations, abuse of authority, and conduct that was deemed morally unacceptable by the university.Theodore was also expelled from university, but it was for cheating on the exam, spreading false rumors to defame another student, disrupting campus order, and extorting a fellow student. Besides that, he was taken away by the police to aid in their investigation. As for Lana, she was placed under administrative detention for 15 days, given a major demerit, and placed on disciplinary probation. The afternoon Selena packed up her things to leave, the sky was dark and gloomy.Dragging her s
