ROSELYN’S POVBoth Danny and I were startled by the loud slam of my bedroom door. We exchanged confused glances, and then Danny's face lit up with a mischievous idea. A smirk formed on his lips before he burst out laughing.Bombarded by curiosity, I jokingly slapped him with a pillow and stood up to investigate the cause of the door slamming.I looked outside but saw no one. However, I caught sight of Nate's car in the driveway through the window. An impossible thought crossed my mind.Could it be Nate? Was he jealous? No, surely not...Without much thought, I approached his bedroom door and lightly knocked. At first, there was no answer. But gathering my courage, I knocked louder and called his name.Just as I was about to walk away, his door creaked open just enough for me to see his face."What do you want?" he asked lazily, the question catching me off guard. What was I even doing here? Was I supposed

ROSELYN’S POV"You look kind of disoriented. You alright?"I was beyond surprised when a chubby brunette girl plopped down beside me on the grass and actually started a conversation. No one ever talked to me at school casually—unless it was about academics.Today was P.E., but due to my recent injury and the fact that I just returned to school, our teacher instructed me to sit out and observe. I looked at the girl in front of me, trying to figure out why she was talking to me."Oh! I’m sorry! I’m Lynzel Ronalds, but you can call me Lyn for short. You’re Rosie, right? Nathan’s fiancée? I’m a friend of his—well, technically, because I’m dating his friend, Xavier." She held out her hand while giving a long introduction, which I actually found amusing. I remembered her name. Nate mentioned her when he brought me to the clinic."Oh, hi. Yeah, I heard you were the one who infor

ROSIE’S POVIt had been a month since I asked Nate for space. The sweetness we once shared dissolved that day, leaving only a quiet distance between us. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t hurt, but I knew I did the right thing. He’s torn between Olivia and me, yet I didn’t think he truly understood the meaning of love.He was so consumed by his love for Olivia that he treated me unfairly before. But that night, I realised something—he wasn’t truly in love with her, nor with me. He’s in love with the idea of falling in love. He only saw what he wanted to see—the good in people, the obligations that come with a relationship, and the labels that define it.As Olivia’s boyfriend, he’s always been sweet and protective, trusting her words without question. And as my fiancé, he’s been almost the same. If you look at it from a distance, he might just be acting

ROSELYN’S POVI gazed at my reflection in the mirror, barely recognising the girl staring back at me.Dressed in a stunning yellow-green, heart-shaped sleeveless gown that hugged my waist with a slim, diamond-like sequined belt, I looked nothing like my usual self. The hem of my gown shimmered with matching embellishments, and on my feet were delicate glass-like shoes, making me feel like Cinderella stepping out of a fairy tale. My hair, styled in elegant waves, had strands pinned back with a floral-adorned clip."You look beautiful, darling," Aunt Clarisse said warmly.I smiled at her reflection in the mirror. She looked breathtaking in a maroon lace long-sleeve gown, her high stilettos adding to her elegance. She had taken it upon herself to dress me up, and I let her, appreciating the effort everyone had put into surprising me."Are you girls ready? The party is about to start," my uncle called as he stepped into the room.

NATHAN’S POV“One week. I’m giving you one week to choose between Olivia and me. You either choose to be her boyfriend or remain my faithful fiancé and future husband.”I was stunned by the words Rosie had spoken. The moment I’d confessed that I might have feelings for her, she told me that friendship was all she could offer while I was still figuring things out. I thought the day would come when she wouldn’t be able to wait for my confusion to be resolved, but I never expected it to happen this soon.“I... I don’t know, Rosie. Why are you asking this? Is it because of the announcement?” I asked, not knowing what else to say.“I’m asking because I can and because it’s the best thing for both of us.” She bit her lower lip as if contemplating whether she should say more before sighing and meeting my gaze. “I made a decision that put us both in a compl
