All Chapters of My Alpha Brothers Called Me A Jinx. Now I'm Gone: Chapter 1 - Chapter 9

I was born with the ability to see the Grim Reaper. It was a shadowy figure cloaked in black, radiating a bone-chilling cold, appearing only right before death struck. The first time I saw him, I was seven years old.He was standing quietly in the corner of my grandfather's study."Grandpa, there’s a dark shadow behind you," I said, tugging at his sleeve. He just patted my head, chuckled, and said I must be sick and hallucinating. The next morning, Grandpa was found dead in the recliner in his study. A sudden heart attack.A month later, the shadow appeared again. This time, he was trailing my father's car."Don’t get in! Please, Dad, don't go!" I screamed, hugging my father's leg for dear life, trying to stop him.I shouted at the top of my lungs that I could see the Reaper. My terror spooked him, and he eventually canceled his trip, choosing to stay home.I thought I had changed fate. But late that night, while going downstairs to grab a bottle of wine, my father missed a step.He br

That night, the mansion was empty and terrifyingly quiet. No one came home. No one even said "Happy Birthday" to me.I curled up in my leaky attic like a forgotten ghost, listening to the howling wind outside.I had starved all day, and the agonizing pain in my stomach kept me awake all night. The next morning, I crept into the kitchen, looking for anything to ease my hunger."Hey, Miss Rhea, what do you think you're doing?" The cook spotted me immediately and snatched the piece of meat from my hand."I... I just wanted something to eat," I said weakly, clutching my cramping stomach."These are imported, premium ingredients. They’re strictly for the Alpha, his brothers, and Miss Chloe. If they find out you ate them..." The cook feigned distress, then grabbed a carton of expired milk from beside the trash can. "If you're really that starving, you can have this."I didn't drink the milk. I just washed down a painkiller with some tap water and left the house.I didn't have much time left.

After finally blurting out the words I had been hiding since I learned I was going to die, my heart raced.I thought I would be indifferent to my impending death, but in that moment, I suddenly wanted to cling to this world just a little longer.Kieran said nothing. The line was so quiet I could hear my own ragged breathing.I held my breath, tears splashing onto the floorboards, waiting for even a half-hearted word of concern.Just when I thought he would hang up in silence, he finally spoke. But his words plunged my heart into the abyss."Rhea, are you insane?" Kieran's voice dripped with absolute disgust and contempt. "Just to get us to come home, just to wring some pity out of us, you've sunk to this level?""No, I'm not lying, I really—" I shook my head frantically, trying to explain."Shut up!" Kieran snapped, his anger barely contained. "How dare you joke about the Reaper! You cursed jinx, do you think we're as gullible as when you were a kid? Have you forgotten how Mom, Dad, an

It didn't take long for Rhys and Declan, having received the news, to rush home with Chloe in tow. When they pushed open the attic door, Kieran was standing silently by my bed, radiating a suffocating aura of death."Ah! Blood... it's so scary!" Seeing the dark stain on the bed, Chloe shrieked, burying her face in Declan's chest and bursting into tears.Declan instinctively wrapped his arms around her, murmuring softly to soothe her.But when his eyes moved past Chloe's shoulder and landed on my lifeless, ghastly pale face, stark panic fractured his expression."What's going on? Is Rhea... is she playing another trick?" Rhys's voice shook. He didn't dare take a single step forward, his eyes glued to my unmoving body."She's dead," Kieran rasped. He turned his head slowly, forcing a stiff, broken smile. "Last night... she called me. She was crying, saying the Reaper was coming for her. She begged us to come home and have one last meal with her. But I... I cursed at her. I didn't believe

Declan and Kieran got into a vicious fight over how to bury me.Declan fought like a madman to have me interred in the family crypt."She is our flesh and blood! She belongs next to Mom and Dad! She deserves the pack's highest honors, not some forgotten corner where even rogues wouldn't go!""Don't you get it?!" Kieran roared, eyes bloodshot, grabbing Declan by the collar. "This is what she chose! She didn't want to stay in this house! You drag her back here now, and you'll ruin the only peace she has in death!"In the end, Rhys sided with Kieran, and they respected my dying wish. They buried me in that cheap, desolate cemetery on the fringes of the territory. But Kieran threw the grandest, most extravagant funeral in the history of the Silver Crown Pack.Thousands of pure white roses carpeted the dirt path to my grave. Half the pack dressed in black, bowing their heads in the biting wind to mourn me.Floating above them, my soul let out a long sigh of relief.I had planned to haunt th
