LaylaMy mother had been divorced for eleven days when she asked me to help her find out who her husband had been cheating with.If only she knew she'd been sitting beside the woman she was looking for the entire time.“I just know there's another woman.” Mom gulped down the last of her wine.“Well, you can't be too sure.” I patted her back, though I knew better.“I know what I'm talking about, Layla. I don't need it printed in the newspaper to know my husband was cheating.” She wiped beneath her eyes and sighed.“Okay, I'm here with more drinks and emotional support.” Aunt Victoria—or Aunt Vicky, as we called her—stepped into the living room with a bottle of red wine and a bottle of vodka. Her heels clicked against the marble floor as she strutted toward us. Honestly, I had no idea why she got dressed up. It's not like we were going anywhere.“I have absolutely no idea why you're bawling your eyes over a man.” She set the drinks down on the glass table and poured herself a glass.“Or

LaylaMy foot caught against a hose beside the flower bed, and I stumbled forward. The potted plant beside me came crashing down with a clatter.“Ouch!” I hissed as I landed on my hands and knees.I blinked back the tears as I got to my feet and inspected my knee. The cut was shallow, but it was already beginning to sting. I dusted my hands and knees, then adjusted my tote bag before stepping inside. The burn in my knee made me limp slightly as I searched for Gideon. He wasn't in his study, his room, or the hallway. Then I noticed light spilling through the glass doors and saw Gideon on the terrace. He leaned slightly over the railing, wearing charcoal lounge pants and a fitted black T-shirt.I stepped into the cool night air of the terrace and wrapped my arms around his waist from behind. He went stiff for a moment but continued with his phone call.“I'll call you later.” He ended the call, straightened up, and turned around, forcing me to loosen my arms before he accidentally elbowe

Layla “I still need to get the original documents from Gideon.” I stopped in my tracks at the mention of his name.Mom was on a call in her room. I should have been on my way to school, but now I needed to know what was going on with Gideon.“The lawyer said I need the original documents. I don't think I can face him, Vicky.”My phone vibrated in my hand and I glanced down at the text from Ellie. Ellie: Sorryyy. I can't make it to school early today. My brother took my car last night and now it won't start. I'm waiting for my dad to look at it.I'd texted her earlier because I was supposed to hitch a ride with her to school. I looked toward Mom's bedroom. She sighed heavily before adding, “I'll ask Layla if she can pick them up later, or I'll find another way to deal with it.”Gideon’s house? That was practically an invitation. Except Mom didn't know exactly how often I was at his house, and I definitely wasn't going to volunteer that information.Maybe this was my chance to get the

“Were you trying to make me jealous?” His rough voice whispered in the dim room. “Hmm-hm.” I hummed with a slight nod as I felt a warm hand cup my cheeks.“Well congratulations baby, you've won.” I smiled, feeling his hand rubbing my side, beside my breasts. “I want to see you.” He rasped. “You can see me already.” I said, prying my eyes open slightly. “You know what I mean.” All I could see was the hard line of his jaw, and the way his throat moved when he swallowed. I slowly sat up straight and pulled my shirt off in one motion.I looked up at him seeing the way his eyes darkened, and the slight change in his breathing as he took in my almost naked body. From my bare ass when I forgot to put my shorts back on to my sensitive clit then to my already perky breasts. I hooked my fingers in the waistband of his pants as I spoke. “I'm still mad at you though.” I palmed his already hard dick through his sweat pants. “But, I want you to touch me.” “I will baby, I will.” He murmured as
