《Michiko's Symphony》全部章節：第 1 章 - 第 10 章

The air conditioning in the main building of the Swasemesta Conservatory of Music was always set brutally cold—as if the chill itself existed to make sure no student ever dared do anything spontaneous, let alone strike a wrong note, not even for a fraction of a second. Inside the heavy-acoustic main rehearsal hall, a metronome ticked on with mechanical constancy. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. That sound escorted every movement of Michiko Arunika Suryokusumo's fingers with military discipline.Michi sat ramrod-straight on the glossy black-lacquered piano bench. Her spine never touched the back of the seat; her arms lifted into a precise right angle. Her fingers danced deftly across the ivory keys of the Steinway grand, carrying Chopin's Sonata No. 2 with a technical cleanliness so complete that anyone listening instinctively held their breath. Her long black hair was pulled into a flawless ponytail—not one strand allowed to stray. To the professors, the dean's office, and the hundreds of stu

That night, the air inside the aging indie venue in the Tirtodipuran area felt stifling, packed shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of young audience members waiting eagerly for one last dose of brutality from Midnight Frequency. Someone had chalked a countdown on the wall by the entrance, marking off the days until this exact show, and by now it read zero. Backstage in the dim half-light, tangled among a mess of cables and the rising smell of sweat, Michi drew a long breath behind her black hoodie and the neon mask that covered half her face. This was her farewell stage—her last night to shed the full exhaustion of her classical world, unload the weight of her academic burden, and cast off the mask of perfection before flying far away to Vienna.Out front, Genta had already begun plucking his guitar strings into the opening notes, followed by the thud of Bimo's bass shaking the concrete floor hard enough to travel up through the soles of everyone's feet. Michi closed her eyes for a mom

From the day Michi's drumsticks first rang out through the basement studio, the way Rimba Arya Swara saw the school's model student changed for good.Even though his reason and logic kept insisting that someone like Michiko Arunika Suryokusumo could never have any connection to the underground world, Rimba's musical instincts refused to stay quiet. In the gaps between music theory lectures and dean's office meetings, his sharp eyes kept catching himself watching Michi from a distance without quite meaning to—the way her slender fingers turned the pages of a book, the way her shoulders stayed rigid, as if carrying the weight of the world. To Rimba, Michi was no longer just some boring classical robot. She was a walking puzzle he badly wanted to solve. And Rimba Arya Swara, whatever else people said about him, had never once in his life walked away from a puzzle worth solving. That day, their second mandatory meeting in the second-floor acoustic room felt entirely different from the fir

The next morning, the atmosphere on the second floor of the Swasemesta Conservatory's main building felt far louder and more crowded than usual. Unlike the plain internal memo that had first paired them together, this time a massive public poster hung in full glory on the main announcement board, impossible to miss from either end of the hallway. It was the Official Poster for the Dean's Showcase Concert—complete with a performance schedule open to the entire campus public, set to take place exactly one month from now. Someone had gone to the trouble of laminating it, and the glossy sheet caught the overhead lights every time a passing student jostled the crowd in front of it.Michi stood at the very back of the crush of students pressing in to read it, arms crossed over her chest as she scanned the list of performers printed in crisp black type. Her breath caught for a fraction of a second the moment her eyes landed on the tenth line from the top, printed in bold letters impossible t

The night air of Yogyakarta outside the Swasemesta Conservatory felt sharp against her skin as Michiko stepped out through the side door of the main building. The watch on her wrist read a quarter past eleven. The campus had gone completely quiet, leaving only a row of garden lamps glowing amber, their light reflected across asphalt still slick from the evening's earlier drizzle.Normally, hours like this were Michi's favorite—a stretch of stillness to settle her frayed nerves after a full day wrestling with classical scores and the weight of everyone's expectations. But tonight, her thoughts were split cleanly in two: half of her still stuck on the sentence Rimba had refused to let go of her head, the other half still turning over how she was supposed to answer Anindya's message, which she hadn't touched since it arrived. This is the first time I haven't been in a hurry to leave after a rehearsal. The line kept looping in her head like an old cassette tape caught on a snag. Damn it.
