Mr. CEO's Second Wife

I blinked for a few moments, quite distracted by the sound of a cell phone vibrating that couldn't stop vibrating, I don't know since when. It feels like I just closed my eyes after I had a hard day, especially when I was doing a lot of assignments from Daniel Noel, my boss.

I grabbed the phone and glanced reluctantly, but within seconds I widened my eyes because all I saw was the name showing on my phone screen.

"Mr. Noel?! What is he calling at this time of night? It's already 11pm, my gosh!" I grumbled feeling cranky.

I took a deep breath before pressing the green button on my phone screen.

"Yes, hello Mr. Noel?" I answered in a deep voice.

"Hello, is this Miss. Lucy Watts?" A foreign male voice sounded. I blinked a few moments confused.

"Yeah, right. Sorry who is this with? isn't this Mr. Noel?" I asked to make sure.

"Sorry, Miss. Watts. I can't really elaborate here but could you come to bar X right now? This is very important! Because the owner of this phone is with me right now and is unconscious!" a man's voice on the other end shouted frantically.

"W-what?! Unconscious? How could that be?!" I exclaimed in shock.

"Okay, I'll be right there right now! Please send me the location and look after Mr. Noel until I get to catch up with him!" I asked as I got up from the bed and immediately got ready.

For about 30 minutes, I finally arrived at my destination, a luxury bar and club in Los Angeles. After getting off the taxi I immediately ran to the location point that the caller was referring to. And sure enough, when I got there I saw a sight that quite surprised me. I saw Mr. Noel was seen lying on the couch unconscious in one of the VIP room rooms, still wearing the work suit he was wearing this morning. A young man wearing a black and white waitress uniform stood next to him with an uneasy face.

"What happened?" I asked with a panicked face to the young man.

"You are Miss Watts?" the man asked to make sure and I just nodded.

"Sorry in advance Miss. I don't know who else to call other than you on the master's phone. Because only you respond quickly when I call you for help," he said with a confused facial expression.

"Me? How come? Have you tried calling another cell phone number before?" I asked to be sure.

"Already Miss, I only contacted three numbers on the last call on this cell phone but only you are quick to respond. While the others cannot be contacted," said the man while handing me a flat, limited edition object belonging to my boss, Daniel Noel.

My deft hand touched the cellphone screen to check the call in my boss's cellphone contact. And it was true what the man said earlier, he had contacted the number belonging to Helen Noel, the wife of my boss and Larry Onselan, a friend of my boss.

"Okay, it's fine. Can you tell me what happened?" I asked curiously."I don't know for sure Miss, what is clear is that before this gentleman was unconscious, he asked for help from me who happened to be passing by this room so that he was secured and contacted someone on his phone," said the waitress explaining.

I also examined the figure of the owner of the large company Noel in the city of Los Angeles. His stern handsome face and jet-black hair looked shabby and disheveled. I guess he was just drunk because I could smell the alcohol overpowering him now.

Gosh, since when did Daniel Noel become such a heavy drinker? Because in the three years I've worked with him and known him, this man has never been this drunk. What happened?

"Could you help me carry her up to the car? and this is as my thanks because you have taken good care of this master," I said to the young man who still seemed to be standing in front of me while giving him a few dollars.

"Oh, all right Miss. thank you," said the man and then he began to help me support the tall, sturdy body of the owner of the giant Noel Corporation in Los Angeles, California.

I carried Mr. Noel got into the taxi that had been ordered, and at that time Mr. Noel woke up.

"Ahh, where am I?" He asked hoarsely with half-closed eyes.

"Sir, it's Lucy, your secretary. I'll take you back to the mansion now," I said, adjusting my sitting position.

"No! Take me to the Blue Moon villa!" he ordered.

"B-but, Sir..?"

"Do it Lucy, quick!" He ordered me firmly.

So immediately, we headed to the Blue Moon villa, the villa owned by the Noel family which is located on the outskirts of Los Angeles. As far as I know the villa is rarely visited by the Noel family, if nothing important. Then why this time Mr. Noel ordered me to go there? Is his wife there now, that's why she asked me to take her there?

"Ssstt..., damn it! Daniel Noel cursed harshly.

I saw his forehead began to drip beads of sweat. His breath began to sound rushed and hot. He looked agitated and kept loosening his tie and then undid some of the buttons on his shirt impatiently.

"Sir, are you all right? Should we go to the hospital instead?" I asked worriedly.

The journey to the villa which was almost half an hour finally arrived. Mr state Noel is out of his mind. At that time I could feel it when I tried to help her walk into the villa.

His body was hot and his breath was getting faster.

"Take me into the room," he ordered hoarsely.

"Is Mrs. Noel here, Sir?" I asked curiously.

"No, he's been in Canada since," he answered softly.

Hearing that answer, I was reluctant to ask again. Because now I know why Mr. Noel didn't respond when the waitress called him earlier. It turns out that now Mrs. Noel is out of the country, and what else to do if not shooting or shooting? Because Helen Noel is a top Hollywood celebrity who is no doubt busy.

Sorry, I'd better excuse myself outside," I said nervously by shifting my dirty eyes to the restricted area I had seen earlier and walking out.

"Wait! Can you help me Lucy?" Mr. Noel holds my hand suddenly before I step out.

"Help??" I blinked my eyes repeatedly when my gaze met those of two sharp blue eyes that now looked glazed belonging to a manly-faced man with an extraordinary handsome face.

"Help me to get out of this uncomfortable feeling..."
