Check out Everand (formerly Scribd). I've listened to several of the Plum audiobooks on there without using a credit. Their catalog feels less predictable than others, but when they have something, it's truly unlimited listening during your subscription period. No 'throttling' that I've noticed with those in particular.

Is the goal to read them all, or to just have a reliable source for the next fun read? If it's the former, you'll need a multi-pronged attack. If it's the latter, just go with whatever service has a few and enjoy them as they come. Life's too short to optimize your leisure this hard.

The earlier books have a different, slightly grittier feel than the later ones, which get more formulaic. If you're sampling via subscription, maybe start with 'One for the Money' or 'Two for the Dough' to see if you like the original vibe before you commit to the later, more cartoonish installments.

Hot & Owned: Billionaire Edition(short story collection)

Warning: This collection contains explicit adult content, including intense power dynamics, dominance/submission, dubious consent themes in fantasy context, BDSM elements, age-gap scenarios, breeding kink, group play undertones, and graphic sexual situations. All stories feature consenting adults in fictional scenarios.
In this scorching anthology, eight ruthless, ultra-wealthy billionaires each claim total ownership over the woman who enters their world—whether through debt, auction, obsession, or sheer predatory desire. Every novella stands alone, delivering a different flavor of erotic heat while threading the addictive "owned by the billionaire" fantasy throughout. Dive into whichever kink calls to you... or devour them all.
Sinners & Saints: A Collection Of Dark Romance Stories
Mary Samantha

This author once failed as a heroine… and returned as something entirely different.
Not as a savior.
But as the villain.
And she didn’t come back empty-handed.
She brought secrets.
She brought sins.
She brought a story that was never meant to be read.
Sinners & Saints is not just a collection of dark romance stories—
It is a confession.
A warning.
And a door best left unopened.
Within these pages lie twisted love stories where desire and destruction walk hand in hand, and every choice comes with a cost.
So the question is simple:
Will you turn away…
or step inside anyway?

You're not just reading smut-you're stepping into fantasies too bold for real life. This collection delivers raw, unapologetic, toe-curling tales that dive headfirst into taboo temptation, dominant lovers, and scenes dripping with lust and power play.
Each chapter brings a new pair (or more 😉), new kinks, and wild scenarios-from forbidden office affairs to brat-taming bodyguards, hot professors, naughty neighbors, and secret hookups that should never happen... but do.
Some stories are told in third person. Others? You'll be the one getting pinned, spanked, or seduced-written in Y/N POV so you feel every sinful second.
So if you're into steamy, twisted, dirty-as-hell reads that don't shy away from the filthy stuff-this is your new obsession.
Let's be honest. You're not here for the plot. You're here to get ruined.
Warning: This book is soaked in desire, soaked in sin... and soaked in more.
It was only meant to be a one-time, one-night solution to ONE problem. Okay, that's a lie. There are two problems: #1) I'm broke. Through no fault of my own, other than I fell down a rabbit hole so deep, I'm now buried in my sister's debt—with my name, Nikki St. Claire, stamped across it. #2) I honestly need a reprieve from my overly mundane, personal life. So when I stumble upon a highly exclusive and extremely secretive auction, I'm both intrigued and potentially saved, given I've left no "box" of what I'll do unchecked on the interview questionnaire, which exponentially increases the reserve that's set on me. Only thing is… The man who buys me turns out to be Jameson Richards. A drool-worthy billionaire bachelor. Also… My boss. How we got this tangled up in each other is a story unto itself. What we do once I accept his one-night contract is a tale riddled with lust and love.
Married by Contract to My Killer: Julia’s Third Life

“If I could not escape in peace as the victim, then this time, I would be the executioner. This time… I would kill him first.”
Forced into a marriage of convenience to secure the Sinclair family’s billion-dollar inheritance, Julia spends ten years trapped with a cold and unfaithful husband. On the very day she is finally supposed to be free, she is betrayed, humiliated… and murdered by her own husband and his lover.
But she wakes up on her wedding day.
Protected by an amulet passed down through the women of her family, she relives the same cycle for the third time. In her previous attempts, running away and submitting did not prevent her death. Now, Julia decides to change the rules: instead of trying to survive, she will seek revenge.
Colder and more dangerous, Julia begins manipulating the Sinclair power games while growing closer to Caleb, her husband’s best friend, the only man who ever treated her as a choice rather than an obligation. Scarred by deep trauma, Julia struggles to trust again, while Caleb slowly wins her over with respect, consistency, and loyalty.
Amid love triangles, betrayals, family secrets, and premeditated murder, Julia plans to destroy Michael, frame his lover, and bring down the empire that imprisoned her.
But the greatest choice will not be revenge.
It will be allowing herself to love again.
She was the wife they erased.
He was the billionaire no one dared to cross.
After a brutal betrayal by her husband and her own sister, Elena Hart is publicly disgraced, stripped of her dignity, and left for dead. Rescued by Dominic Blackwood, a feared and reclusive billionaire whose name alone terrifies boardrooms and governments, Elena is pulled into a world ruled by power, secrets, and unspoken violence.
A fake marriage binds them together.
Revenge keeps them standing.
Desire makes everything dangerous.
But when attraction turns real and buried sins resurface, Elena must decide whether vengeance is worth losing the man who became her sanctuary—and whether love can survive in a world built on blood and empires.
Everand (formerly Scribd) is my go-to for audiobooks. Their catalog is pretty deep, and I listen to a ton of mysteries on there. The Evanovich audiobooks narrated by Lorelei King are a treat. The subscription includes a certain number of audiobooks and ebooks per month. It's a legal flat fee, and it's cheaper than Audible if you consume a lot.
Definitely check if your specific titles are available before committing long-term, but it's a strong contender.
They are, and it's glorious. I love that I can sample a chapter directly in the Libby app before committing to a long waitlist. If the first chapter of 'One for the Money' doesn't grab you, you haven't wasted anything but a few minutes. It's a risk-free way to try new authors within a genre you already enjoy.
Sometimes book series that have been around forever get special promotions. Keep an eye on author newsletters or publisher social media accounts. I got a free audiobook code for the first book of a big series once just by signing up for a newsletter. It's rare, but it happens. Evanovich's publisher might do something similar for a new release, hoping you'll buy the rest.
I can confidently say that many subscription ebook services offer a fantastic selection. Platforms like Kindle Unlimited, BookWalker, and J-Novel Club have extensive libraries featuring popular titles like 'Sword Art Online,' 'Re:Zero,' and 'Overlord.' These services often provide both official translations and original Japanese versions, catering to different preferences.
One of the biggest advantages is the convenience. With a subscription, you can access hundreds of titles without purchasing each one individually. Some services even offer exclusive content or early releases, which is a huge plus for dedicated fans. Additionally, many platforms have apps that sync across devices, so you can switch between your phone, tablet, or e-reader seamlessly. The cost-effectiveness is another perk, especially if you read frequently. For anyone diving into light novels, these services are a goldmine.
