Conflict generation based on world logic. The AI analyzes your world's resources, borders, religions, and political factions, then simulates potential points of tension. 'The northern mining dwarves are the sole source of adamantite, but their sacred texts forbid trading with nations that practice sky-burial. The eastern elves require adamantite for their sky-ships and practice sky-burial. High probability of a religious trade embargo leading to covert espionage.' It turns your setting into a story engine.
Lol, after reading all these comments, my wishlist is just 'an AI that makes me a cup of coffee while I worldbuild.' Is that too much to ask? The perfect tool would probably just be a distraction for me. I'd spend all day playing with the map generator instead of actually writing the story.
Honestly, half the fun of worldbuilding is the discovery process for me, the 'what if' moments. So I wouldn't want an AI that just builds the world for me. I'd want one that acts as a brilliant, endless source of 'what if' prompts. 'What if the dominant religion reveres mathematicians as priests?' 'What if the oceans are acidic, and civilization exists on floating fungal islands?' It should spark creativity, not replace it.
Can we get an AI that helps with the boring but vital stuff? Like generating sensible demographic distributions, plausible trade goods lists based on climate and tech, or the bureaucratic structure of a large empire. I want to spend my creative energy on the dramatic court intrigues, not on figuring out whether a ministry of taxation or a guild of merchants would collect tariffs in a mercantile republic.

Werdsmith is an app focused on writing on the go, but its 'Projects' feature lets you create separate documents within a project. I have a project for my novel, and inside it are the manuscript doc, a characters doc, a locations doc, and a lore doc. It's simple, syncs across phone and web, and the free version has enough space for a novel and its world. It's more about containment than fancy features, which I prefer.
