Why rank them? The joy is in the collection. I treat her summer novels like a seasonal ritual—a new one each June. The ranking is my own personal experience as I read them. I'd suggest just starting with her first summer book, 'The Beach Club,' and working forward.
You'll form your own rankings along the way, and those will mean more than any list you find online. Keep a little reading journal note for each one. Did it make you crave sand? Did you get invested in the characters? That's your ranking system. It's a fun project that stretches the summer enjoyment across multiple years.

Sometimes the physical book itself gives a clue. Check the number of pages in the 'Acknowledgments' or 'Reading Group Guide.' Books with extensive discussion questions and interviews in the back matter are often the ones the publisher expects to be book club favorites—a sign they believe it has the depth for discussion.
This can indicate a ranking of 'most discussable' or 'most thematically rich.' While all her books have book club potential, the ones with a dedicated guide are signaled as top-tier for group analysis. If you read with a critical eye or belong to a club, this is a useful filter.

Ranked lists stress me out. What if I start with the one everyone says is 'the best' and then the others feel like a letdown? I'd rather go in blind and be surprised. The cover art is usually so pretty, I just pick based on that and the vibe.

Is there a website that compares the page counts? Sometimes in the summer I want a nice, long book to sink into for a week at the beach, and other times I want a quick, breezy one. A ranking by length would be almost as useful as one by quality for me.

Honestly, the concept of a definitive ranked list is a myth. Tastes are too subjective. What you need is a descriptive list. I've seen blog posts that group her novels by subgenre: 'The Mystery-Leaning Summers,' 'The Family Saga Summers,' 'The Romance-Focused Summers.'
That's infinitely more useful than a rank. You pick the mood you want, and then you have two or three top options for that specific mood. That's how I choose my next Hilderbrand. Do I want a whodunit or a tearjerker today? The 'ranking' exists within each category.

Honestly, just walk into a bookstore in June. The table with all her books face-out is your starting line. Read the back blurbs. Whichever one makes you roll your eyes and say 'oh, this is going to be messy' in the most excited way possible—that's your book. Trust the gut reaction.
To me, the interesting metric isn't the rank, but the 'rating details' page. How many ratings are 5s vs. 4s? A book with 80% 4-star ratings is probably a consistently enjoyable workhorse. A book with 60% 5-star ratings has a more passionate, if perhaps smaller, fanbase. That passion gap tells a story the single average number obscures.
'Holidays on the Nantucket' might have a lower average than '28 Summers,' but its die-hard fans are die-hard. I'd explore that.
My ranking is based solely on the quality of the fictional meals described. 'The Blue Bistro' wins, hands down. The oyster descriptions alone! 'The Hotel Nantucket' is a close second for the fancy cocktails. 'A Summer Affair' ranks dead last because I can't remember a single thing they ate. I've found my people in the comments of foodie blogs, but on Reddit, this is a minority ranking system. Still, it's as valid as any. If the book makes you hungry, it's a success.
