The practical answer is a mix of stalking and serenity. Stalk her official channels once a week, then practice serene indifference the other six days. The book isn't late until it misses its official deadline, and she hasn't even set one yet.
All this energy spent searching could be spent re-reading your favorite scenes or writing fan theories. Engage with the existing material while you wait. The fandom content will hold you over, I promise.

The email newsletter is truly the king here. Authors have a direct line to their most engaged readers that way. Any big news—cover reveal, title announcement, pre-order link, release date—will hit the newsletter first, sometimes hours or days before social media.
Social media algorithms are fickle; an email lands right in your inbox. Just make sure to add her email address to your contacts so the newsletter doesn't get lost in promotions or spam.

Book subscription boxes that feature dark romance sometimes get early Intel. If you follow boxes like Fairy Loot's adult offerings or other indie-focused crates, their 'spoiler' announcements for upcoming months can reveal a book before the wide public release.
They need to secure rights months in advance, so seeing a book in their announcement is a huge confirmation. It's a niche path, but for a popular author like Hutchins, it's plausible.

Lamia and Kellen return to a realm different from what they left. Overrun with Senko’s creations and monsters from the underworld, they have one goal as they struggle to come to terms with their new identities.
To rid the realm of Aodh and send him back to the hell hole he came from.
They had faced Aodh once before in their past lives. This time round is different. They remember everything and hope they can defeat him this time. Not just for their future but the future of their realm.
Love and bonds need to be healed while they prepare for a war that could cost them everything. Determined to ensure a peaceful future, Queen Lamia will stop at nothing to ensure the god of the underworld doesn’t get his hands on her or her immortal child.
Morgana Hamilton died betrayed, poisoned, and discarded like a pawn in her husband’s ruthless bid for power.
Then she woke up.
Thirty minutes before she would poison the most dangerous man in the West Coast—the Alpha King himself.
This time, she refuses to be a sacrifice.
Dante Hamilton is power wrapped in sin. Ruthless. Commanding. A man whose dark gaze strips her bare without touching her. He has always watched her. Always wanted her. And now that fate has given them both a second chance, the heat between them is no longer a secret—it’s a wildfire.
To save him, Morgana must seduce him.
To survive, she must betray her husband.
But the deeper she sinks into Dante’s world of leather, dominance, and whispered promises in the dark, the more she realizes she isn’t pretending anymore. His hands on her skin ignite something primal. His possessiveness awakens the wolf inside her. And when he claims her, it isn’t just her body he takes—it’s her loyalty, her hunger, her soul.
Yet power is never taken without blood.
As secrets unravel, paternity scandals explode, and a kingdom teeters on the brink of war, Morgana must choose: revenge… or reign.
Because this time, she won’t die a pawn.
She will rise as Queen.
And the Alpha who obsesses over her?
He will either rule beside her…
or burn the world down for her.
Orenda was created by the God of Destruction to protect the people of the world from the shadow demons known as eyti that now plague it. For thousands of years she - alongside her brother - fulfilled this sacred duty with ease...until now.
Never in her millennia did Orenda dream she would be blessed with a soulmate. She was even less prepared when her soulmate turned out to be none other than the creator of the very beings she was created to fight; the God of Malice, Azadou.
Azadou is cold, uncaring and has a deep hatred of the Gods. Everyone keeps telling her to stay far away and reject him, but like the pull of two opposing magnets, these two cosmic beings can't resist the draw to each other.
As Orenda puts her heart, soul and dignity on the line to win the heart of her destined half, a new and mysterious threat emerges... Something sinister is afoot and it has big plans for Orenda.
Orenda will find herself in the most tempestuous fight of her life, with the stakes higher than anything she could have imagined. Will she come out victorious and achieve her happily ever after? Or find herself at the centre of a dark parable with no happy ending in sight?

Amelia Hutchinson was always different. Her life was different. Xikoth, the King of Hell, a dark fae, was after her. She ran from him as far as possible, and he didn’t chase her initially… but now he couldn’t wait any longer. He regretted not claiming her sooner because now she had run away with his nemesis, Vargauz. He was going to get her back and that too in his Kingdom of Hell. And what happens when she is in his castle, in his bed, with him. He wants to be inside her and she is thinking of ways to break the bond.

Emily Davis suffered a horrible childhood and now that she's gotten older, she dealt with the Hell's King himself. However, she didn't fulfill the King's part of the deal. She didn't give what the King wished to have. In punishment, he wedded her in hell and she became the Queen.
Their mission is to find the King's destined wife who was written in the scrolls. Meanwhile, the both of them have problems to solve on their own as they embark their journey to find love and peace in their lives.
WARNING: MATURE CONTENT!
The Lycan King’s Daughter
Eighteen years ago, the Moon Goddess made a decision that changed the fate of every werewolf forever. She blessed her children with the freedom to choose love instead of being bound by the sacred mating bond. From the generation born in 2023 onward, the legendary mating pull vanished, leaving every wolf to search for their soulmate through their own heart rather than destiny.
Princess Natalia, the spirited and rebellious youngest daughter of the mighty Lycan King Lucius of Etholia, belongs to that generation. Fiercely independent and determined to live life on her own terms, marriage is the last thing on her mind.
Everything changes on her eighteenth birthday.
Before the gathered nobles, King Lucius makes a shocking royal proclamation: the man who wins Princess Natalia’s hand in marriage will inherit the Lycan throne and become the next ruler of Etholia.
The announcement sends shockwaves across the supernatural world.
Powerful suitors from every race answer the call. A fearless Alpha determined to prove his strength. A mysterious Demon Prince hiding dangerous secrets. A charming Vampire noble whose smile conceals deadly ambitions. And an ordinary human who somehow finds himself standing among monsters.
Each claims to desire Natalia.
But does anyone truly love her… or do they only crave the crown she carries?
Caught in a whirlwind of political schemes, dangerous rivalries, forbidden romance, and betrayals, Natalia must uncover who is sincere before her heart becomes another prize in the battle for the throne.
In a world where destiny no longer chooses soulmates, can the Lycan King’s daughter find genuine love… or will the kingdom’s greatest prize cost her everything?
Has her website been updated recently? Sometimes they revamp the whole site ahead of a launch, adding a dedicated page with a countdown timer. That's usually phase two of the rollout—first the tease, then the website update with precise details.
I just checked, and it's still the standard site. So we're still in phase one: the wilderness period. Keep your eyes peeled for a site redesign.
I'm using this waiting period to finally write that fanfiction I've been plotting. If the canon won't give me more content, I'll make my own. It's a fun way to stay engaged with the characters and explore 'what if' scenarios. The fandom is really supportive of creative side projects.
I'm a sucker for mythology, and 'King of Chaos' is basically the foundational myth of Hutchins' universe. In any mythology, you usually hear the current stories first, then learn the creation myths that explain them.
So, hear the 'current' story: The Fae Chronicles. Then, learn the creation myth: 'King of Chaos'. Then, see how the next generation interprets that myth in Sins of the Fathers. This order mirrors how cultures actually process their histories and legends.
It feels natural and epic. Starting with the creation myth (the prequel) feels too abstract. You need the concrete, personal stakes of Syn's story to ground you before ascending to the mythic scale of the Princes' war.
Honestly, the anticipation for 'King of Chaos' is part of the fun for me. I'd rather she takes her time and delivers an amazing book than rushes to meet a date. Her last few releases have been so intense, I need a minute to emotionally prepare anyway. No schedule means I can just relax and know it'll get here when it's perfect.
Is it weird that I kind of hope it is delayed? My to-be-read pile is towering over me like a judgmental monolith. I need a little more time to clear some space! Amelia's books are an all-consuming read, and I know I'll neglect everything else for two days straight. A small postponement would be a mercy for my responsibilities. Don't tell anyone I said that. I'll still be first in line when it drops, of course.
