Anyone else here who just calls him All For One? I have to consciously remind myself to use 'Hisashi Midoriya' when talking about this, because he's so deeply embedded as the archetypal supervillain mastermind that his actual name feels weirdly intimate. The key battles are less about him throwing punches directly and more about his orchestration.
Think about the Kamino Ward arc. That showdown between All Might and All For One is the centerpiece, but the entire battle is his creation—he engineered it to break Symbol of Peace publicly. The way he monologues about passing on his will to Tomura Shigaraki while fighting is chilling; it's less a physical fight and more a philosophical war over the concept of 'legacy.'
Then there's the Paranormal Liberation War, which is basically his endgame strategy playing out even while he's locked up. He's directing the liberation front, manipulating Shigaraki's body and mind from a distance. The actual conflict with Star and Stripe feels like a side effect of his grand plan, proving his influence stretches globally. Honestly, the most terrifying battles involving him are the ones he starts without even being physically present.
Main ones? Kamino, for sure. That's the definitive showdown. Then there's the later stuff when he breaks out and possesses Shigaraki's body—that whole chaotic final act battle with Deku, Bakugo, and everyone. It's less a clean duel and more a sprawling war of attrition against a demon king who just won't stay down. The scale is insane.
I'm honestly a bit confused about what counts as 'his' battle. Like, the big one is obviously All Might vs All For One at Kamino. That's the iconic 'Symbol of Peace vs Symbol of Evil' clash, and it's brutal. All Might's final smash, the United States of Smash, finishes it but wrecks him.
But then later, when Deku goes berserk against Shigaraki, isn't that also kind of a battle with Hisashi's legacy? Since All For One's quirk and will are inside Shigaraki? It gets blurry. The fight on the floating UA fortress sort of counts, because All For One's consciousness is actively trying to take over Shigaraki's body mid-fight. The lines between the characters get so messy by the end.

On the day of the SAT exam, my girlfriend, Heidi Moore, makes the entire class stay with her and wait for her childhood friend, Jeffrey Price, who's running late.
But it's less than an hour before the exam starts. If they keep waiting for Jeffrey, they will definitely miss the exam.
In my previous lifetime, I played my part as the class president by advising everyone to take the exam first. But all I received was their scolding.
"You're just jealous that Jeffrey and Heidi are extremely close friends! That's why you want to ditch Jeffrey so that he can miss the exam, huh?"
I could only stand in the pouring rain while begging my classmates relentlessly. Only then did everyone leave for the exam venue reluctantly. In the end, we were able to arrive at the exam venue one minute before the exam started.
But after the exam was over, I was pushed off a building by Jeffrey, which caused my death.
However, Heidi and the rest of my classmates gave the police their fake testimonies.
"Finley caused Jeffrey to miss the exam. That's why he killed himself out of guilt!"
Jeffrey even used the opportunity to sell his sob story and become a popular influencer.
Mom tried to seek justice for me, only to get cyberbullied by the Internet users, who were blind to the truth. Dazed and disoriented, she drove off a cliff, and her body was nowhere to be found since then.
Only after I died did I realize that this was just a part of Jeffrey's scheme.
When I open my eyes again, I've returned to the day Heidi tells the entire class to wait for Jeffrey before departing to the exam venue together.
In this lifetime, I won't stop my ungrateful classmates from ruining their own lives.

This is the English Version of my story.
Hiraya Frost Akira is the unbeatable, undefeated, and fearsome underground fighter. Anyone who challenges her would be beaten into pulp, lives hanging by a thread.
People called her an incarnation of a devil. Her gaze alone could give you a cold sweat and make you feel an intense fear.
But then an accident occurred, and she transmigrated inside the body of the timid and weak Princess of Esperanza Kingdom.
Frost received the Princess's memory, and saw the suffering, pain and miserable life of the Princess inflected upon by her loved ones and the people around her.
Frost then bowed to help the Princess achieve happiness and exact revenge on her behalf.
Never would she have expected that her reincarnation would be the salvation and hope of the people in that World.
All Might's little shadow, right? That's how I saw Hisashi at first, but the show's spent a decade fleshing out his absence into something much weirder.
He's a narrative ghost, basically. The story's about legacy and what makes a hero, and Izuku's dad being this literal void in his life creates this perfect pressure. Izuku builds himself on All Might's borrowed power and his mom's support, but that foundational 'father figure' spot is just empty. It throws All Might's mentorship into even sharper relief.
Honestly, the fandom theories are half the fun. The 'Hisashi is All For One' idea has been kicking around forever. It's probably not true, but it speaks to how his role is a big, unanswered question mark that the plot can potentially use later. He's less a character and more a loaded Chekhov's gun somewhere off-stage.
Even if he never shows up, his function is clear: he's the 'what if' that makes Izuku's origin story feel more personally rooted than just being handed a quirk.
