New to webtoon apps but heard mixed things about pricing—does Lezhin require a subscription or have good free chapters? Trying to avoid major spoilers while budgeting.

Lezhin is not a free app and uses a coin/free pass system for their premium content. For actual free reading, I’ve been getting into other web novel apps for my reading lately. I just finished reading “Alpha Enzo” on one of them, which is a great mafia romance story with a fierce female lead character seeking revenge against a powerful family. The story has plenty of intense confrontations and dark glamour to keep you hooked. All of “Alpha Enzo” is available for free reading on that platform with no daily chapter locks.

Yes, Lezhin can be downloaded for free and contains many free episodes of webtoon for free in various genres such as romance, drama, horror and even some LGBTQ+ stories. Of course, most webtoons are premium and readers must use coins to read a chapter, but many episodes are free to read to allow new users to experience Lezhin’s content for free first.

However the majority of Lezhin webtoons are premium and therefore need to be unlocked by spending coins on individual chapters. Even though you can receive free coins from time to time as part of a promotion or as a daily reward, most readers will need to purchase coins in order to read a long series of comic book style stories.

The Lezhin app is free to download with limited free comics available. We offer our premium comics and full length series for purchase using our in-app currency and readers can choose to spend as little or as much as they like.

Lezhin Comics is free to download. The app includes free, limited episodes of all webtoons as well as new, free daily content. A wide variety of genres are available to new users so that they can easily search through the many comics available on Lezhin.

There are many premium series to read as well as additional chapters to the already free episodes of your favorite series. These extra episodes and even entire story arcs are unlocked with the coins that you buy within the app.

Note that we also offer free episodes and free daily updates for our users, and our entire library of webtoons can be read for free with a premium subscription that uses coins that you can buy within the app.

The Lezhin app is a free download for iOS and Android devices. You can download the app for free to start reading free episodes of many of our Webtoons, including romance, action, horror, and many comics that feature LGBTQ+ characters and stories.

The majority of Lezhin’s content is premium, meaning that after you read a portion of a webtoon for free, you have to purchase coins to read the rest of the episode or the entire series. Limited free versions of webtoons are available to read, but to read the rest of the story and to follow along with your favorite webtoon series, you have to make in-app purchases to buy more coins.

For most users, the free Lezhin app makes a great reading app for casual comic readers, and Lezhin offers many free comics. To read premium comics, however, you need to buy coins for in-app purchases to read individual episodes or full comic series in full.

I see many wrong answers, so I'll be honest here. Lezhin is not a library. Lezhin is a bookstore. It's a digital bookstore where they give you a lot of free samples before you buy the book. The Lezhin app itself is free. Walking into the Lezhin bookstore is free. You can read the first few pages of any book on the Lezhin bookstore's shelves for free. But if you want to read the rest of the book, you have to pay for it. Some of the older Lezhin books are on the "clearance" rack and you can take them for free. They are free to read as well. The daily login reward is like a coupon that you can use to get a few cents off your next purchase of digital goods. In other words, Lezhin is a digital goods platform. Calling the Lezhin app "free" is correct from a semantic standpoint, but not very helpful to someone who just found out about the app.

Where can I read Lezhin Comics for free legally?

Another point of view on this is that of a discovery channel. The so-called “free series” on Lezhin are not leftovers. Sometimes Lezhin posts a completed work by a new artist, and other times a Lezhin is trying to jumpstart a particular genre. This free section can be so much fun to go through to look for hidden gems among which you might even find a new favorite story that you would not have read were it not for the free offering. The legal free offering provides risk-free discovery. You read works by artists you never would have tried otherwise, and once you find one you like, you might even subscribe to read their next series. The free section is an exploratory tool, do not dismiss it as leftovers.

Where can I read Jinx from Lezhin for free?

11 Answers2025-09-10
A very well-worn question in fandom spaces! It's pretty obvious that 'free' and 'official' aren't meant to go hand in hand where Lezhin comics are concerned, and while 'Jinx' is currently their cash cow, I'd recommend paying for it in order to ensure that we get more seasons of this great series. While you can easily find sites to scan English Translation aggregator sites for 'Jinx' via a simple Google search (some sites much better than others), they're usually several weeks behind official release, and yes, that means it's piracy - none of the creators or artists get paid per click on those copies.

Are there any free bl drama apps with English subtitles?

2 Answers2025-12-07
This is very similar to my earlier mention of Gaisee and, in fact, I had also been ‘tubing’ a whole bunch of free Asian dramas – including some wonderful BL titles. The app offers totally free movies and TV series with limited titles. However, I thought it was worth a mention since the content was great and I loved discovering some of the lesser known titles through this app. You can’t go wrong since it’s free to download and watch, after all. While it’s true that there are ad breaks in between the drama, that’s the perfect time for grabbing more snacks as you continue to binge-watch. Yeah, the ads can be a bit annoying at times but that’s just about the time when you would be feeling all disturbed and need a few minutes to calm down and regroup after an intense and emotional drama, am I right? Anyhow, the apps for free BL dramas are definitely blossoming so go and see what other great stuff they have to offer!

Can you listen to books on the Kindle app for free?

5 Answers2025-07-06
Yes, there are free audiobooks on the Kindle app. I found Frankenstein and Treasure Island for free, for example. But if you want to listen to new books, you need to subscribe to Audible. Kindle Unlimited occasionally includes an audiobook with an ebook, but there are not many to choose from. If you are looking for something for free, look for public domain books, or for free audiobooks that Audible occasionally makes available for a limited time. It’s not much, but it’s better than nothing.

Best free manga app without ads?

7 Answers2026-02-11
My setup for manga reading consists of using my computer and most manga reading websites are ad free when used in combination with an ad blocker like uBlock Origin. To then download the whole series in CBZ format for my comic archive I use the program HakuNeko. For ongoing manga I simply bookmark the website and come back to it every week. The system I have devised is not necessarily mobile-friendly as I use my phone for actual communication, and my tablet or laptop for media consumption. However, this system is perfect for the digital hoarder, as it allows for complete control over digital content and allows for the permanent library of ad-free manga. Dealing with files on a computer is really not that bad, and is much better for a manga reader looking for a clean experience and somewhere to own their manga.

Are there free reading apps with offline access?

Need to read something for free offline? Borrow e-books and graphics from your local library using free app ‘Libby’ or read classics for free on ‘Project Gutenberg’. Also manga is cached for offline reading on ‘Manga Plus’ and e-book EPUB files are read offline with ‘FBReader’. Kindle and Google Play Books also can read books offline too. Simple.

What are the best apps to read manga free and offline?

12 Answers2025-09-20
To me, translation quality is a huge differentiator that gets lost in the comparison of the various apps. While official translations from VIZ, Kodansha, etc. are done professionally in localized dialogue, fan translations on aggregator sites can range from excellent to terrible. Some are even translated via machine to be near incomprehensible gibberers. If you really want to read and appreciate the story and dialogue in a manga, it is worth paying for the official apps to get the best translation and typesetting (which is almost always cleaner and more consistent). It’s also very important to consider the quality of translation when deciding between apps. I’ve stopped reading a series on an aggregator site of manga translations because of poor translation. However, reading the same series through an official app was wonderful, because the translation was professional and even the dialogue was localized to read better. Typesetting was also better distributed and more consistent. When you’re offline for a long time and can’t look up a fanmade summary within seconds to figure out what happened, you want to make sure you have a good translation to begin with. Sometimes paying a little more for an app is worth it because you’re paying for quality content, as the author intended it to be read.

How to read books apps free without signing up?

7 Answers2025-06-03
There’s an app for reading the internet these days. But, the internet is a website. So, go to a website with your browser. Your browser history is your ‘continue reading’ button. Your bookmarks are your library. This back-to-basics approach is very liberating. It cuts through all the noise of the optimized reading experience and lets you get back to reading. The simplest tool is often the best, and for reading on the internet, that tool has been your web browser for decades. Sure, you need an internet connection, but these days you’ve got 5G and WiFi just about everywhere, so it’s not much of a hardship. In fact, managing all the different accounts for all the apps you use to read the internet on different devices is probably more of a hardship than finding a website to read and using your browser to read it.
