For example, Bayesian methods in 'pymc3' or 'stan' are robust but aren’t as streamlined as R’s 'brms' or 'rstanarm'. If you’re working on niche areas like spatial statistics or time series forecasting, you might find yourself writing custom functions or relying on less-maintained packages. This can lead to dependency hell, where conflicting library versions or abandoned projects disrupt your workflow. Python’s ecosystem is vast, but it’s not always cohesive or up-to-date with the latest academic advancements.
