I'm skeptical of anyone who says they have an 'official' link. Nine times out of ten, it's a phishing site or a download full of malware. The web novel pirate scene is riddled with traps. If a major retailer like Amazon doesn't list it, it's almost certainly not real. Stick to the known platforms, even if their reading experience isn't ideal. At least your credit card info is safe.

It's not just this novel, either. So many of these massively popular web novels have no purchaseable digital edition. You'd think with the global audience, there'd be a market for a 'complete series' box set in digital form. Maybe the rights are too tangled, or maybe the original authors don't have the clout to demand it. Either way, it's a missed opportunity that forces fans toward pirated copies.

My two cents: don't waste time looking for an official ebook. It doesn't exist. Instead, decide if you want to engage with the official platform (Webnovel) and its system, or if you're comfortable with the gray-area fan compilations. The latter are easier to read on an e-ink device but offer no support to the author. It's a personal ethics call. I ended up reading it on Webnovel with an ad-blocker because I felt guilty, but the experience was middling.

This whole discussion makes me appreciate traditional publishing more. You write a book, it gets edited, and then it's released in print and digital formats everywhere. Simple. Clean. This web novel ecosystem feels like the wild west, with weird rules and unclear ownership. Convenience for the end user is an afterthought. Progress isn't always linear, I guess.

I've made my peace with it. I read it on Webnovel, and I tolerate the system. It's not ideal, but it's the most direct way to ensure the author and translators get some compensation for their work. Hunting for a non-existent ebook is a recipe for frustration. Better to accept the reality of the medium and enjoy the story through the channels that exist.

It's on Webnovel. I just searched. It's there. The cover art is a guy in a suit looking out a skyscraper window. That's the one, right? Shows over 2000 chapters. The 'Read Now' button will give you the first free ones. After that, you'll hit the paywall. It's very straightforward once you're on the app. No mystery. The difficulty is all in the finding of the correct app, not in the operation of it once you're there.
I tried getting into it, but the constant descriptions of luxury brands and expensive suits felt like filler. It's readable on mobile, sure, but does it respect your time? I switched to the audiobook fan project and listened while doing chores. Hearing about someone's Italian leather shoes is less grating when you're folding laundry.
Why bother with a sample? Just read the plot summary and some fan reviews. You'll know if the tropes and genre are up your alley. Samples can be misleadingly slow or focused on the wrong aspects.
For a story like this, you want to know about the pacing of the business battles, the romance subplots, and if the MC ever faces real consequences. A free sample of the first few chapters won't tell you any of that.
Dig through forum discussions instead. Look for what readers say about the mid-point and ending. That's more valuable than any sanctioned preview. You'll learn about potential frustrations, like repetitive arcs or power creep, that a sample would never reveal.
Use the sample only if you're already 80% convinced and need that final nudge on prose quality.
The fragmentation is intentional, I think. It keeps the community searching and talking, which generates buzz. If there was one perfect, free, ad-less site for everything, the discussion would die. The hunt for sources is part of the modern reading ritual for these translated novels.
