this question takes me back. Link/Saria stories have a certain vibe—often bittersweet, full of lost time and childhood friendship evolving. You're right that they're scattered. Besides AO3 and FF.net, don't sleep on smaller, older websites that were big in the early 2000s. Some Geocities-era fansites got archived, and you might find a dusty gem if you're persistent. The downside is formatting can be broken, and links die.
Also, the crossover element makes it tricky. Is it a crossover with another Nintendo property, or something totally different? That changes where to look. For Nintendo crossovers, maybe check archives that focus on Super Smash Bros. themes, since that's a natural crossover vector. The platform really dictates the culture of the stories you'll find.

Archiving something this specific, cross-fandom and cross-platform, is basically digital archaeology. Official spaces usually aren't built for that kind of remix. I'd say the two places you're most likely to find them are Archive of Our Own and FanFiction.net, but your experience will be very different on each. AO3's tagging system is a lifesaver; you can filter for the two characters, sort by kudos, and find hidden gems in minutes. The quality tends to be higher, too. FF.net is older and clunkier, but some authors never migrated, so there might be older stories there you can't find elsewhere. It's worth checking both and maybe even using Google search tricks like site:fanfiction.net \"link\" \"saria\" to dig deeper. The hunt is part of the fun, honestly.
You could also check dedicated 'Legend of Zelda' forums or Discord servers, though those stories are often shared as direct links or snippets in threads, which makes them harder to organize and search through long-term. Sometimes a niche author posts exclusively on their personal blog, so following reblog chains on Tumblr can turn up stuff that never made it to the big archives.

Honestly? Almost none, at least not in a dedicated sense. There's no platform that hosts just Link/Saria crossovers. You've got to go to the general-purpose archives and sift. AO3 is definitely the frontrunner because its search handles that pairing so well, but even there, the pool might be small. It's such a specific, almost nostalgic ship from the Ocarina of Time era.
If you're open to slightly broader categories, sometimes these stories get tagged under 'Zelda - All Media Types' or crossovers with other games where authors imagine scenarios that bring them together. I've seen a few really sweet ones on AO3 framed as 'what if' stories set after Link leaves the forest.

AO3, full stop. Their tagging system was basically made for this exact kind of hyper-specific request. You can tag both characters, filter by relationship, add additional fandom tags for the crossover element, and boom. FF.net is too messy for that kind of precise digging. Tumblr might have snippets or prompts, but for full stories, the archives are the way to go.

“What in Goddess’ name is going on here?” my brother’s shouting interrupted me as I was about to accept Finn as my mate.

Zayne’s love healed her broken heart and Sarah thought she’d finally found her happy ending. Until Finnick found them and proved the Moon Goddess’ plans were far more complicated.

honestly, the scene moves around. The absolute biggest hub, the one with the deepest archives and the most intense writers, is still Archive of Our Own. The tagging system is insane—you can filter for 'Hyrule Warriors' AUs, 'Linked Universe' stories, or specific Zelda games with a few clicks. The quality range is wild, from breathtaking multi-chapter epics to quick, fun one-shots, but the sheer volume of Zelink crossovers there is unmatched. It's where the big name fic authors usually post first.
That said, don't sleep on FanFiction.net. It feels older and the interface is clunky, but there's a ton of legacy content from the 'Twilight Princess' and 'Skyward Sword' eras you won't find anywhere else. A lot of those authors never migrated. Tumblr is weirdly crucial too, but not as a host. Writers will post snippets, moodboards, and links to their AO3 or Google Docs. The fandom's visual aesthetic and headcanons really live there, driving people back to the main fic platforms.
I'm noticing a lot of it on AO3. The tag system over there makes it super easy to find exactly what you're looking for, especially for crossovers. If you search for 'Genshin Impact' and then filter for crossovers, you'll get pages and pages. You can even sort by kudos or date. I found a wild one last week that mashed up the world of 'Genshin' with 'The Legend of Zelda'. It's not all on AO3 though. Wattpad has a ton too, but the quality can be a real mixed bag. You have to dig deeper there.
For more focused stuff, sometimes smaller fandom-specific forums or Discord servers are the best. I remember a really well-written series on a dedicated forum that blended the Traveler's journey with the mechanics from 'Persona 5'. You don't get the same massive volume as the big sites, but the community feedback is often more detailed and constructive.
