Crime thrillers are my escape, and I’ve built a library of free Kindle books over the years. Start with Amazon’s 'First Reads' program—they offer pre-release mysteries for free to Prime members. I also scour Smashwords for indie authors; their 'Mystery & Detective' category has surprising depth. For pulpier reads, Munsey’s and PulpMags archive vintage crime stories. And don’t forget libraries—OverDrive and Libby partner with publishers like Minotaur to lend bestsellers like Tana French’s novels for free.

If you love twisty mysteries, Kindle’s free section is a treasure trove. I regularly check the 'Mystery, Thriller & Suspense' category on Amazon—publishers like Crooked Lane Books and Severn House often run promotions. NetGalley is another spot where I snag ARCs of upcoming thrillers in exchange for reviews. Smaller publishers like Endeavour Media and Bloodhound Books also drop free titles monthly—I snagged 'The Snowman' by Jo Nesbø during a promo last winter.

I’m a night owl who loves curling up with a gripping mystery, and finding free Kindle books is part of the thrill. Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited often has a free trial with tons of crime thrillers—I binge-read Louise Penny’s 'Still Life' that way. Sites like Freebooksy and ManyBooks specialize in free eBooks, and I’ve discovered hidden gems from indie publishers like Joffe Books. Also, check out Kobo’s free section—they have rotating titles, and I grabbed 'The Silent Patient' for free last month. Pro tip: Follow authors like Robert Dugoni on social media—they often announce free promotions.

As someone who devours crime thrillers and mysteries like candy, I've spent countless hours hunting down free Kindle books. Amazon’s own Kindle Store has a 'Top 100 Free' section where you can filter by mystery and thriller—I’ve snagged gems like 'The Girl in the Moss' by Loreth Anne White there.

Project Gutenberg is a goldmine for classic mysteries like Agatha Christie’s works, though they’re older titles. For contemporary reads, BookBub is my go-to—they curate daily deals, and I’ve gotten freebies from publishers like Thomas & Mercer and Bookouture. Open Library also offers borrowable mysteries, though you need a library card. Lastly, don’t overlook publisher newsletters—HarperCollins and Penguin Random House occasionally give away free crime titles to subscribers.

Olivia had a life that was almost perfect. Her father was the city mayor, her best friend was a good handsome man who was also the son of the founders of the city’s top hospitals, and her physical appearance was almost perfect too that she could make anyone like her anytime. But the thing was that she hated her father for never giving her love ever since her mother passed away—which resulted to her becoming a rebellious teenager. Dakota, on the other hand, had the opposite kind of life as Olivia. She had to do minor crimes at the age of 15 for survival with his older brother. She used to have a dream to be a nurse—which ended up vanishing ever since her life became miserable. One day, Olivia and Dakota crossed paths as Olivia insisted to enter the criminal life of Dakota for fun. Everything was fine at first as they enjoyed being partners in crime—not until the time came when they had to be separated because of the big difference between their lives and the betrayal that cut the relationship between the two girls. Years later, they met again as the both of them had changed to be more mature and powerful from the past years. Olivia had been holding the same guilt for years as Dakota had been holding the same grudge for years. Their sweet relationship had already ended years ago, but did their feelings ever change through the years that passed? What happens when they cross paths again? Will Dakota get her revenge? Or will their sweet relationship as partners in crime be restored again?

He starts nibbling on my chest and starts pulling off my bra away from my chest. I couldn’t take it anymore, I push him away hard and scream loudly and fall off the couch and try to find my way towards the door. He laughs in a childlike manner and jumps on top of me and bites down on my shoulder blade. “Ahhh!! What are you doing! Get off me!!” I scream clawing on the wooden floor trying to get away from him.He sinks his teeth in me deeper and presses me down on the floor with all his body weight. Tears stream down my face while I groan in the excruciating pain that he is giving me. “Please I beg you, please stop.” I whisper closing my eyes slowly, stopping my struggle against him.He slowly lets me go and gets off me and sits in front of me. I close my eyes and feel his fingers dancing on my spine; he keeps running them back and forth humming a soft tune with his mouth. “What is your name pretty girl?” He slowly bounces his fingers on the soft skin of my thigh. “Isabelle.” I whisper softly.“I’m Daniel; I just wanted to play with you. Why would you hurt me, Isabelle?” He whispers my name coming closer to my ear.I could feel his hot breathe against my neck. A shiver runs down my spine when I feel him kiss my cheek and start to go down to my jaw while leaving small trails of wet kisses. “Please stop it; this is not playing, please.” I hold in my cries and try to push myself away from him.

Trigger warning!!! miscarriage. Signing that contract might have been a mistake but I knew the rules. I was only there for one reason and one reason only. To bear the Alpha King, a pup, an heir to his throne, while he enjoyed life with his wife, and for some reason it was enough for me. Being his second wife was enough for me, until I fell in love with him, and who could blame me? My husband was what any woman would want in a man but I was not what he wanted in a woman, he loved his first wife! I was just a means to an end.

Sequel of 'Set Me Free', hope everyone enjoys reading this book as much as they liked the previous one. “What is your name?” A deep voice of a man echoes throughout the poorly lit room. Daniel, who is cuffed to a white medical bed, can barely see anything. Small beads of sweat are pooling on his forehead due to the humidity and hot temperature of the room. His blurry vision keeps on roaming around the trying to find the one he has been looking for forever. Isabelle, the only reason he is holding on, all this pain he is enduring just so that he could see her once he gets out of this place. “What is your name?!” The man now loses his patience and brings up the electrodes his temples and gives him a shock. Daniel screams and throws his legs around and pulls on his wrists hard but it doesn’t work. The man keeps on holding the electrodes to his temples to make him suffer more and more importantly to damage his memories of her. But little did he know the only thing that is keeping Daniel alive is the hope of meeting Isabelle one day. “Do you know her?” The man holds up a photo of Isabelle in front of his face and stops the shocks. “Yes, she is my Isabelle.” A small smile appears on his lips while his eyes close shut.

As someone who devours crime thrillers and mystery novels like they're going out of style, I’ve found some fantastic free Kindle books that keep me on the edge of my seat. One of my absolute favorites is 'The Girl in the Moss' by Angela J. Townsend—it’s a gripping small-town mystery with a supernatural twist. If you prefer something more modern, 'The Silent Patient' by Alex Michaelides occasionally pops up as a freebie, and it’s a psychological rollercoaster. Don’t overlook indie authors either; 'The Last Mile' by David Baldacci and 'Gone Girl' by Gillian Flynn sometimes go free during promotions. Pro tip: check Amazon’s 'Top 100 Free' in the Mystery & Thrillers category weekly—you’ll find hidden treasures.

Amazon typically refreshes their free Kindle offerings every Thursday, though some titles may rotate in and out throughout the week. The crime and mystery section usually gets about 15-30 new free titles weekly, ranging from indie authors to promotional deals from established writers like Agatha Christie or newer voices in the genre. What's fascinating is how these free books often serve as the first in a series, hooking readers to purchase subsequent installments. The selection varies from cozy mysteries to hard-boiled detective stories, ensuring there's something for every taste.
