Why Did Varys Die

In Game of Thrones, Varys the master of whispers was executed in season 8. This was because he betrayed Daenerys Targaryen, his queen whom he served as an advisor. He started to have doubts about Daenerys' ability to rule without turning into a tyrant -- He even tried poisoning her but he became convinced following Jon Snow instead was unsuitable.

When his treachery was revealed, Daenerys gave him a death sentence: death by dragon fire.

Varys's death was a close-up of taking loyalty as a theme. He would never follow slavishly: He joined forces with Daenerys Targaryen to serve the realm and people, not any particular king or queen. His loyalty, however, wavered in the final season.

After Daenerys Targaryen's mental state was worn down by the Battle of Winterfell, Varys shifted his allegiance from her to Jon Snow. He made an effort to poison her and outright recommended Jon Snow's right to ascend the Iron Throne.

Daenerys caught him as he was about to flee and called Drogon -- her last living dragon -- to burn him to ashes. Even in death, Varys clung to his original intention--to 'save the realm' first regardless of all else

It was facing the execution block, was seated close enough to hear those whispers like gold, waves falling across sand, but he himself knew that this wealth was. Varys made the mistake of being too meticulous and losing the broad view.

In the last season, he begins to doubt Daenerys's capacity for leadership.He fears she might turn to tyranny, which doesn't bode well for the realm.Therefore, he plans to poison her in favor of Jon Snow, whom he thinks will make a better ruler.

However, Varys finds himself defeated by Daenerys's intelligence, and she sentences him to die, by being burnt her dragon, Drogon.His death, although tragic, reproaches the theme of loyalty, betrayal and the ruthless realities that go with power politics in the world of 'Game of Thrones".
