Longtime Dork Diaries fan here, but my budget's tight. Is there a reliable website or digital library where I can legally stream or read the books online for free, no apps or downloads required?

I tried to find free download-free versions of ‘Dork Diaries’ online to read but couldn’t find any official or legitimate sources. The official sources to read ‘Dork Diaries’ include purchasing the books or checking them out from libraries and reading them through library apps and waiting for them to become available. This book is so much fun for me to read when I need something lighthearted. I do understand that lots of people are looking for free reading material right now, and I totally get that. But in order to make sure that there are even more books like Dork Diaries by Rachel Renee Russell in the future, we need to make sure to respect her work by buying/her getting on free via official channels like Amazon Kindle, Google Play Books, etc. Even many public libraries have e-books available for free via apps like Libby for Shaun’s school for example (OverDrive too, I’m pretty sure). As for me personally, I’d be happy to purchase Dork Diaries on sale. As for right now, there are occasionally free samples (like the first chapter of the first book) as well as free first books (right now Book #1 is free for a limited time).

For instance, fan communities like the Goodreads community for Dork Diaries or the subreddit r/freetextbooks might occasionally offer free e-books, which were shared legally by the publisher. And as mentioned before, supporting authors is very important, because then they can continue to write the stories you enjoy so much as well. I only started writing myself when I was outraged by the idea of someone else to take my work and give it away for free whilst taking the ad revenue. Now all media is viewed through that prism. There are people who toil away for years to bring joy to the readers of their books. The least that we can do as readers is to not circumvent the methods by which that author will get paid for her work. The author gets paid by the library through the use of library apps, she gets paid by the purchase of her books, but the pirate sites take her work and sell ads off of the pages of her work. This is so simple. Make the most ethical choice the easiest choice to make. Tell everyone you know about the library apps and make them more popular than the pirate sites. This question really bothers me because I have plenty of time to read right now and library holds can take weeks to arrive. One thing I have discovered about Libby is that you can search for titles across multiple library systems as long as you have a card for that library system. So, if you have a card for the city library and for the county library, you can search for titles at both. Typically, the waitlists for audiobooks are much shorter than for ebooks and are even often separate from the ebook waitlists, so reading titles in audio format can be a great way to get to them quickly. This means that rather than trying to find free versions of books online (which are really never as good as paid versions, anyway and are the basis for this question), we work within the library system, which may not be free in the sense of cost to us as individual consumers, but is an oasis in the desert of “free” online and we just have to be willing to wait in line to get there.
