Her thirst for vengeance
“I don’t remember much about what happened. But I remember that I was forcefully kidnapped by rebels. They took me far from the Northern Pack’s lands, kept me isolated… I tried to escape but everything went wrong. I fought against them but I was hit on the head and knocked unconscious, when I woke up, I was alone in a strange land and couldn’t remember anything—not my name, not my home, not even my mate.”
I felt Dante stiffen beside me, and a cold knot tightened in my stomach.
“For years,” Amanda continued, her voice trembling slightly, “I wandered around, trying to piece my life together. By then, I realized I was pregnant.” She looked down at the boys, her expression softening. “They were my light in the darkness.”
The boys leaned against her, one of them whispering, “Mama…”
“I had no idea who their father was,” Amanda added, tears pooling in her eyes. “But I knew I had to protect them. I raised them alone until… until a few weeks ago.”
