I leaned forward, curiosity prickling. “Do you think that’s a bad thing?”
“Not at all,” she said, spearing a piece of lettuce delicately. “Hunger is what separates the women who endure from the women who fade. You remind me of myself at your age. Only—” She paused, her fork hovering. “You’re more disciplined.”
