Red Riding Hood Killed A Wolf
Just in case, I keep the knives close.
Dragging him through the woods feels like Hell. I struggle to remind myself that I'm supposed to use the strength in my legs, not pull from my back- I can damage my spine if I try to. After a few minutes, I feel the muscles in my legs burning. I fall back a few times, but each time I keep going, fighting harder than before. About halfway through, I feel like I'm failing- I'm so close to giving up that it hurts. But then, out of nowhere, Diego's words pop back into my head, and that's enough to force me to keep going. If I give up, I'm not giving up on myself- I'm betraying Vince and letting him die near me while I whine about a little pain in my legs. I'll tear my muscles, break my legs, and bleed until we reach the packhouse, but I'll keep him safe. After all, he's in this mess because of me.
