Husband For Rent
It told a story, and for a moment, I wished I could tell the story too.
“You’re good at this,” I said, surprised by how much I meant it, “Pwede na,” I jokingly added.
“Thanks,” he replied, leaning back. “I try.”
I hesitated before asking, “Why photography?”
He looked over at me, surprised by the question. “Bakit hindi?”
“Napaka palaaway mo naman ha, pero, seriously,” I pressed. “You could’ve done anything. Why this?”
He chuckled and looked thoughtful for a moment, then answered, “Because it’s honest. A camera doesn’t lie. It shows you the world exactly as it is, not how people want it to be.”
