I snapped at him, annoyed he was able to grab my attention like he had.
“Very well, let’s see where was I? Oh yes, one day I saw the God Anubis and was convinced I had died, I was starving and hallucinating. Anubis approached me and asked if I wanted to avenge my family and escape the dreadful place I was in. Of course, I told him I did, and before I knew it, he was biting into my neck and feeding me his blood. Only when I had awakened did I realize what had happened. I had heard rumors from the guards of monsters that hid in the dark, killing those that crossed their path or making them into the same kind of monster. Confused, I stared at an ordinary man that sat across from me, laughing with blood dripping down his chin. Anubis had never been there, just a hallucination from hunger. Now you will share in my curse, he said, you will be the prince of darkness and help me build and dark army. I obviously told him he was mad and went to leave. I ripped the cell door right off its hinges and sunlight poured in, I was so happy to see that sun, until my skin
started to bubble and burn. Pain erupting everywhere. I immediately took shelter in the darkness I had grown to hate, and that is the last time I saw the sun.”
“What happened to the man, did you help him with his army?” I asked curious, no one had ever shared anything about a dark army or them being destroyed.
