Sometimes it was not good to have an overactive imagination, and this was one of those times.
“She’s quite the fighter, your sister,” a voice said beside him.
Thomas turned to see Claire. She placed a hand on his arm, token comfort in the darkness.
“She’s very bossy, and she hates Star Wars.” His bottom lips trembled. “I want her to come back.”
Claire watched his tears fall, and moved her hand to his shoulder, which bobbed in time with his sobs.
From their right, a sound came to them, a drawn-out hiss and the terribly familiar click-clicking of claws on the hull.
