I sank down onto the soft cushions, my head spinning.
“Do you need anything?” he asked, kneeling down next to me.
“Just some water, please; I’m parched,” I said, my throat feeling dry and scratchy. He went to the kitchen and came back with a glass of water. I sipped it slowly, trying to rehydrate myself.
As I sipped the water, I could feel my strength slowly returning. I took a few deep breaths, trying to relax my body and my mind.
“That was scary,” I said, looking at Tyler. “I’ve never felt anything like that before.”
