He squeezed the lower part between my legs, making me squirm in pleasure. “Louis!” I moaned. “I will take you my way,” He whispered. I barely nodded, telling him that I was ready. But the desire to feel his skin against mine filled me in, and I wanted to hold him. But how? My hands were still tied. I tried to come up with words, but before I could say anything, I felt his tongue on my shoulder replaced by teeth, and- what… This pain…? Corithias sat at the entrance of the cave, thinking about his little princess. He was sure she was the little girl he had saved so many years ago. He recognized her scent. She had grown into a beautiful woman. His human body longed to hold her. Alicia was his mate; he knew it in his heart, but how could a dragonith be mated to a human, he pondered. It was not possible. Surely, he must be wrong, he thought…. still, the feeling was so intense. It made Corithias sad to think that God had chosen him a mate that he could not have. “How cruel you are!” He shouted, shaking his fist in the air as he looked to the sun. He needed to get out of here, quickly before the mate bond was formed between them. Once the bond was sealed, it would be great pain for both of them to be separated. He transformed into his dragon form and tried to fly. Unfortunately, the injured wing was still not strong enough yet. He heard footsteps in the forrest, so he stayed in dragon form. Alicia had a dream about the dragon. She dreamed that he took her far away from here. In her dream, her dragon turned into a man, a very handsome muscular man. But she recognized him through the man’s eyes. It was her dragon.

Due to my deceased father, the government decided I may have an inside to the fighting force we need to save humanity. They call him King of the Shadow Warriors. Shadow Warriors are elite fighters, who, after shifting form, have sharp claws and teeth capable of eviscerating a human without blinking an eye. If that isn’t a reason to run the other direction, I don’t know what is. The problem? We need the Shadow Warriors or we die. To gain their trust, I must impress King.My government sent me in a short dress and heels to do the job. They seem to think a sexy body will increase their chances of gaining his help. I took the assignment freely even though my feelings on the outcome offer no comfort. That brings me to the biggest problem in the entire scenario: King will eat me!Shifter King is created by Holly S Roberts/D’Elen McClain, an eGlobal Creative Publishing signed author
