Cerita Pendek Familial Bond Werewolf & Novel Scumbag

Two rival packs, Black Moon and Bloodclaw, ruled the eastern werewolf territories, locked in a bitter feud over land. I was a pureblood Alpha Female, raised by Elias Reed, Black Moon's Beta and my foster father. Two years ago, I saved Gabriel Cross from a band of rogues who'd nearly beaten him to death. Later, we discovered we were fated mates. Ours was the first union between the two packs in a century. The two Alphas decided that once Gabriel and I completed our marking ceremony, they'd sign a peace treaty. But on the day of the signing, Bloodclaw warriors were ambushed on their way there. All the evidence pointed to Sera Lyle, the woman Gabriel had secretly loved for years. Yet he burned the evidence and let everyone blame me. “Sera's an Omega. If she confesses, they'll execute her! “You're an Alpha Female, and you're my mate. Even if you go on trial, the worst they'll do is banish you from the pack.” Even the people around him thought that made perfect sense. “Without Gabriel, who in Bloodclaw would ever accept you?” I searched desperately for clues and fought to clear my name, but Gabriel put me in chains and handed me over to the Werewolf Court. They were all waiting for me to confess. Black Moon's Alpha, James Thorne, and Bloodclaw's Alpha Female, Audrey Vance, were both at the trial. The moment they saw my face, they both shot to their feet. Nobody in either pack knew they'd once been in love. Or that I was their biological daughter, whom they'd left in the care of my foster father for 20 years.

I know that I don't have much time left after getting poisoned by wolfsbane. I don't want to have any regrets, so I travel to the Sacred Crystal Lake, a place I have always wanted to visit. I don't tell anyone that I plan to end my life there. I didn't expect to run into my ex-mate there. We haven't seen each other in ten years. He has become the Alpha that he has always wanted to be, and he's wearing a ring that has another she-wolf's name engraved on it. As for me, I've already thrown away our token of love and erased him from my heart. We're exchanging pleasantries when he suddenly asks, "Do you still hate me, Giselle?" I shake my head. My life is about to end, after all. I don't need to hold on to anything anymore. In the last moments of my life, I just want to see the sea of irises that the Moon Goddess has blessed.

At a Halloween costume parade, I suddenly spotted a familiar figure. I watched him with a she-wolf. They couldn't keep their hands off each other. The she-wolf was draped against him in a succubus costume that showed off her curves. The male wolf was dressed as a lord of Hell. His face was flushed, his body tense, and his hands gripped the she-wolf's waist tightly. The people around them laughed good-naturedly. I froze. That was my father, Elias Thorne, the stiff, conservative man who had rushed off to work late even on Halloween. I called him right away and kept my tone casual. "Dad, can you come pick me up in a little while?" His voice faltered for a moment, then returned to its usual warmth. "Sorry, sweetheart, I'm at the office working late. I can't come get you. When I get home tonight, I'll make you the apple pie you love." I didn't argue. I said yes like a good daughter and smiled into the phone. When the call ended, I let out a breath and walked toward the couple who should never have been together.

My father disappeared for seventeen years. The first time he surfaced, it was to offer me fifty thousand dollars for my bone marrow to save the daughter he'd had with his lover. My mother slapped me twice right there, demanding I refuse his dirty money. But I got into the car the Alpha had sent, handprints still burning on my face, and walked into his multimillion-dollar estate. They all thought I was so desperate I'd sell my own blood for cash. That changed when I pointed at the most expensive car in his garage and told my father, "Either restore my name to the Blackwood family registry or give me the car's value in cash: three hundred thousand dollars." "Your daughter needs my bone marrow to survive. My mother needs three hundred thousand dollars to stay alive." "If you can't part with the money, then watch her die." After that, everyone thought all I cared about was money. Only I knew the truth: I was selling my own blood to buy my mother a chance at life.

To save my family, I was dying of silver poisoning, my fiancé Marcus, the Alpha who had promised to never abandon me, now wanted to harvest my healthy kidney for my parents' adopted daughter, Celeste. Nobody cares if I live or die So I refused the conservative treatment plan. I injected myself with the witch's life potion. The price? In 72 hours, I would die from complete organ failure. In those three days, I gave my private healing center—the one I'd built with my own hands—to Celeste. Mom and Dad beamed with joy. "Good girl, you've finally grown up. You're taking care of your sister now." Marcus wanted to postpone our wedding to care for Celeste. I accepted it calmly. He praised me for finally being understanding. I even gave up my position as the pack's chief healer to Celeste. My parents and Marcus were so excited they planned to throw her a grand celebration ball. They invited every important person with status in the pack to honor her new role. I was just curious about one thing. After I died, would they shed a single tear for me?
