Chained to the Billionaire
"Alexander," I whispered, staring at him with wide eyes.
"Yes. Come with me," he said, pulling me out of the taxi by the arm. I noticed that all the guards were focused on the road, avoiding eye contact with me. This was a show of respect reserved for the daughters and daughters-in-law of the Harrison family. Did this mean I was considered part of the Harrison family now? None of the guards dared to look at me.
Alexander angrily pushes me inside the car. I felt like I was paralyzed. I didn’t speak or resist. Alexander made his way to the driver's seat, and he drove us back to Harrison Mansion. He didn't say a word during the journey, but I knew this was the calm before the storm.
"Let's go," As soon as we reached Harrison Mansion, he quickly got out of the car and coming to my side.
"Where are you taking me? Let go of me, Alexander. I'm not afraid of you," I protested, struggling to free myself.
"You will not get out of here now. Understand?" he stated firmly, leading me to my room and pushing me onto the bed.
"Why are you doing this to me? What have I done to you? I know there's no love between us, so why are you marrying me? What do you get by keeping me imprisoned here?" I stood up, locking eyes with him, and demanded answers to my questions, which I felt were my right.
"Ssshhh, keep quiet.” He grabbed me chin in his strong grip. “Prepare for the wedding silently. And if you try to escape again, remember that Alexander Harrison doesn't forgive a second mistake. You'll be responsible for the consequences," he warned me in his cold tone.
