Shapes appear and recede from the shadows. A Shifter—her hair like silver. She looks familiar, though I don’t know her. Lips as red as blood, eyes as blue as the ocean. She turns, looking almost ethereal as the shadows converge, wrapping around her like a lover. She sinks into the darkness, the blue of her eyes fading.
