Rejected by my Alpha, claimed by his mate

Rejected by my Alpha, claimed by his mate

"The part where the Hollow tries to take something." "Yes." He was quiet for a moment. The complicated history between us sat in its usual background position. Present, acknowledged, no longer bleeding. "You're not afraid," he said. Not a question. "I'm a little afraid," I said honestly. He nodded. "Good," he said. "Fear is useful. It's the people who aren't afraid of anything who make the worst decisions." I looked at him. "That sounds like experience talking." Something moved across his face. "It is," he said quietly.

Cruel Love Back in His Hands

Cruel Love Back in His Hands

I made a decision for both of us without asking and I have had years to understand why that was wrong and I am sorry. George said: I understand. She said: do you. He said: I understand that you were afraid. And that fear made a decision and then years passed and the decision became a history and histories are harder to revisit. She looked at him for a moment. She said: yes. That's it.

Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

I tense knowing I’ve said the wrong thing. “You know that nervousness is a waste of energy. Nervousness, fear, anxiety- these all weaken us. These emotions make us doubt ourselves. There’s no room for doubt right now. Are you uncertain that you will win tomorrow?” He asks me. His voice is calm; he’s always calm. He never wavers. Even when he is enraged, he is composed. That’s what makes him so easy to fear. He’s consistent, yet unreadable. In the twelve years that I’ve known him, I’ve learned his mannerisms and his preferences, but I never assume I truly know him. And everyone that I’ve brought in over the years, I make sure they know that too. He hates arrogance but demands confidence. He w

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

A king should not falter or allow fear to bleed through his armor. And yet, I was afraid. Afraid of losing her. Afraid of what this revelation would demand of her. Afraid of what it might demand of us. So I swore, silently, with a vow that burned hotter than fire in my chest that whatever storm this truth unleashed, whatever history sought to take from her again, I would not allow it. Not while I drew breath. But even as the oath seared through me, unease coiled tighter. Because this was not a war of crowns or blades. This was war with time, and the bones of history itself.

Empress Wolfe
Sargis and Narine just became one of my favourite couples! I love Sargis' love and devotion, and Narine's wisdom and quiet strength. I wish her adoptive parents were punished as well, but oh well ... (7/29/26)

I loved this book and it's characters. I love how there was no unnecessary drama that slowed the pace and didn't make sense like in other stories. And I loved the way that we got to see some of the same scenes from both perspectives. I'd love to read a sequel.

The Alpha King’s human breeder

The Alpha King’s human breeder

No organized human resistance has emerged in the post-war period. No organized human resistance. Something inside of me snapped. The chair I was sitting on jolted backwards, the legs scrapping loudly against the floor. I froze. What was that? The room was empty, quiet. Fear climbed up my throat, replacing the fury that had been brewing a moment ago. I closed the book, rising to my feet. Fear clogged my throat, but the weight of a hundred and seven years settled in my chest. Twelve had believed there was a human pack.

Rejected by the Alpha, Crowned by the Lycan King

Rejected by the Alpha, Crowned by the Lycan King

I wrapped both hands around his wrist. His pulse beat steady beneath my fingers. Mine hammered wildly. I should have been afraid. I was. I was terrified. My knees wanted to fold. My body screamed at me to submit, apologize, survive. But fear was not new. I had been afraid before. I had been afraid while wolves circled our camp at night. Afraid while stitching Mara’s shoulder closed with boiled thread. Afraid while watching children chew leather because there was no bread left. Fear had slept beside me for years.

Blood Debt: The Alpha's Captive Mate

Blood Debt: The Alpha's Captive Mate

"That's not even a partnership. That's a man so afraid of being hurt that he'd rather hurt someone else first." I felt the bond between us, stretched and aching. Through it, I sensed Brian's emotions—guilt, defensiveness, a desperate need to make me understand. But beneath all of it was something else. Something I recognized now with terrible clarity. Fear. He was afraid. Terrified. Not of enemies or vampires or political conspiracies. Of me. Of what it would mean to truly let me in. To share his burdens. To trust someone with the parts of himself he'd been hiding for three centuries.

Sold to My Enemy Alpha

Sold to My Enemy Alpha

His fear. I felt it in the middle of the night. A cold weight in my chest. A tightening in my throat. A voice whispering that everything was going to fall apart. I woke with a gasp, my heart pounding, my skin slick with sweat. The room was dark, but I could feel him beside me, his presence a steady warmth in the cold. The fear was like a living thing, coiled around my heart, squeezing tighter with every breath. It was the kind of fear that had no name, no shape, no end. It was the kind of fear that lived in the marrow of his bones. It was the kind of fear that had been with him since childhood. It was the kind of fear that had shaped him into the man he was. It was the kind of fear that had

BOUGHT BY THE RUTHLESS WILD BILLIONAIRE

BOUGHT BY THE RUTHLESS WILD BILLIONAIRE

He never celebrated because he was always afraid of falling behind. His voice cracked as old memories resurfaced. He remembered being a teenager, lying awake at night, terrified that one mistake would destroy everything. If he failed, he believed his father would look at him with disgust. If he admitted fear or uncertainty, he would lose his father's respect. So he buried every emotion that made him seem human. Pain stayed hidden. Fear became silence. He built a version of himself that looked fearless because he believed it was the only version worthy of love.

Fractured

Fractured

Ronan Ronan had always believed fear was useful. Fear kept sailors from getting careless. Fear kept kings from trusting too easily. Fear made you look twice before you stepped into something you didn’t understand. This fear wasn’t useful. This fear was a weight wrapped around his ribs, pulling him down.
