I smiled despite myself, kneeling down to her level. “You think so?”
She nodded seriously. “Very pretty. Auntie Brenda made you a princess!”
I brushed her hair back gently, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “That’s all I needed to hear.”
Brenda grabbed her bag, tossing it over her shoulder. “Alright, come on, little miss. We’re dropping you off before your mom takes over the corporate world. You don’t want to be late for Miss Alice.”
