Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

A deep, resonant chime, like that of a massive bell, echoed from the Aegis of Faith. Then, the golden barrier shattered into shimmering fragments. Sheena coughed up another mouthful of blood, yet the light in her eyes did not dim. Instead, it burned even brighter. The invincible sword energy finally dissipated into the air like faint smoke, and with it, all of Sheena's defenses collapsed completely. Yet, from the ashes, a phoenix rose!

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

A Crown of Ashes

A Crown of Ashes

Sienna’s boots crunched on dry pine needles, the shack a fading speck behind them as she and Roman cut deeper into the woods. The truck’s bloody mess was miles back, that scream still ringing in her skull, but the air here was still—too still—thick with the tang of sap and something sharper, like metal or smoke. Her fingers flexed around the vial in her pocket, its cold glass a tether to whatever hell Dorian had left her, and Roman walked ahead, his stride long and sure, gun tucked close, his silence loud enough to grate on her nerves.

The Healer's Bond

The Healer's Bond

He whispered only one final word: “Soon.” --- The golden pedestal hummed. It shimmered with radiance not of fire, but of origin—the kind of heat that forged stars, not burned forests. The Flame of Creation didn’t flicker like its white counterpart. It rotated, spiraled, coiled in perfect circles—contained chaos, inviting only those who could bear the burden of giving birth to the irreversible. Emma stood before it, her heart already weary from the first trial, her hands still trembling faintly from the vision of Birch Hollow’s collapse and Irsi’s whispering threat. She had passed the White Flame by remembering who she was.

Rising From the Ashes

Rising From the Ashes

Rather just digging as if I'm fighting for my own life. My shovel finally hits something firm. I continue to dig, creating a much larger hole around me. I brace myself, and carefully but powerfully slam the shovel into the top of the coffin. The shovel manages to break the wood. I toss the shovel aside, and pull up on the slats of wood. I manage to get a few loose, and toss them aside. I kneel down closer to the body in the casket.

The Creations

The Creations

“I need you to explain all of this to me, because I’m remembering things but it’s not all there yet. I know that I belong to you; I know that I’m a star, but I don’t understand what that means. I don’t understand why the rest of your kind wants me dead. I need to understand why me…” Taking a deep breath Rafe lifted his head to look into my eyes, in that moment alone I could have gotten lost in them, I could have drowned in the beauty which was this being before me. Perfection held no bounds when it came to him now, once this terrifying monster but now this perfect creation, it was absolutely mind blowing. “In the beginning of creation, way before you’re planet came to be in existence. You mu

Special team Alpha two,

Special team Alpha two,

Order spent some time observing this to make sure it worked perfectly before going to the other three to show them what Order had discovered. Creation and Darkness were impressed where as Chaos was furious that their creations were used but his was left out so in a jealous fit he unleashed the dark swirling mass he now calls a blackhole. To suck it all up and destroy it all. Creation and darkness started bickering with Chaos but Order saw why Chaos reacted the way he did. Order had all three of them make their creations again and ordered them where the black holes floated on the outside of the organized clusters of suns planets and moons we all know now as a solar system. All four of them l

Rise Of The Silver Wolf

Rise Of The Silver Wolf

Anywhere and anything they touched turned to ashes right away. The hush around us before now seemed like a guarding bubble, because as soon as those strands passed the hidden edge, the result destroyed. I saw shapes at the edges, maybe the wrecked land I had seen before, maybe false images, and where the strands met them, no fire or flash appeared, only a complete turn to fine gray powder. A tree, a stone, a shape lost in the whirl, they all stopped being whole, their form torn apart without burn. This went beyond flame; it sped decay. He undid the world one contact at a time. We have to do something, Aliya. What can we do? I asked urgently.

SHADES OF ICE AND ASHES

SHADES OF ICE AND ASHES

“You don’t get to make silly assumptions about my life. I’ll let you go because it’s your first time, but I promise you, the next time you try this, I won’t play nice.” My heart jackhammered, but it wasn’t just fear. His eyes—those damned green eyes—held me captive, stirring a memory I’d buried deep. A dark street, a screeching car, my mother’s scream, and those same green eyes glinting in the shadows before the world shattered. My notebook slipped from my fingers, pages fluttering to the floor like wounded birds. Zane’s gaze flicked to my lips, a flicker of something raw flashing across his face. For a heartbeat, I thought he’d close the gap, but he stepped back, his cold mask slamming into

Beauty From Ashes

Beauty From Ashes

She scoffed and stuffed the TV remote under her butt. I held back a laugh and shook my head, I dropped my food on the table in front of us. “Fine, I'll tell you.” I said as I looked between the two of them. Their eyes lit up and they scooted closer, their eyes fixed on me. “So, how was it?” Piper went first. “Do the girls really look like goddesses?” Bart piped in. I chuckled. “Delengade is massive. Everything's plaited in gold, gold walls, marbled walls with gold, gold pinnacles and archways.”

Ashes of a Vow

Ashes of a Vow

Moonlight spilled through the floor-to-ceiling windows, stretching across the marble floor. I knelt on the balcony, applying a special herbal balm to the skin beneath my ribs—to the scars left by silver weapons thirteen years ago. They still ached. The scars always ached under the full moon, a cruel reminder of a past I fought to forget. "You're still using that balm." I didn't turn around. Kaelen's footsteps were loud on the cold marble. "I thought you'd forgotten that pain," he said. The anger was gone from his voice, replaced by something I couldn't quite place.
