Survival Has a Memory

Survival Has a Memory

"No can do, Your Majesty. You need to give us a direction first. Everyone would only become hungrier if we run around like headless chickens and come back with nothing." No one wanted to die of hunger, and they thought I had a point. So, they turned to Queenie and made the same request. Queenie was panicking, her back drenched in sweat. Then, her eyes lit up. "There's a hill straight east, and the base is covered in mushrooms! We can forage for those! And there's a field further east. It's something the previous survivors left." She smiled smugly. "See? Told you they'd forgive us if you'd just apologize."

Reborn in the Apocalypse: I Won’t Save Them Again

Reborn in the Apocalypse: I Won’t Save Them Again

Jane was the first to react, cursing at me, “You bitch, what nonsense are you spouting—an ability? Go die!” David immediately turned to Victor with forced respect. “Mr. Kane, my nephew has a fever. He’s probably about to awaken an ability too. Please kill Apple and avenge my son! Our whole family will follow you to the death and do whatever you command!” “I can die right now.” I looked Victor straight in the eye. “No one knows how many years this apocalypse will last. But I can promise you this—you won’t find anyone else who can give you clean water as quickly as I can.”

The Only Survivor

The Only Survivor

No worries, no killers. "Amelia", it was just a faint whisper on his lips. But enough to make my heart hammer in my chest. "Chief?", a deep voice interrupted us. Jaxon frowned sadly before he faced his back to me. "It's not a bomb. Pathogen is doing their test now. But you are clear for us", a big-chested short man, packed down with protective, informed Jaxon.

The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

September, second year into the apocalypse. Under the Haylight League banner, Liam's teams spread out across the region, helping small bases fight back against the outward-surging zombie tide. Under the Haylight League banner, Milo led 300 elites to help Tomorrow Base break out. The Haylight League's core force continued its counteroffensive in Aecraton. In November, a cold wave hit. Hayley secured another central district. The small bases across Brookville and Crestford held firm through freezing winds and heavy snow. In February of the following year, the cold wave continued.

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

Start Over in Zombie Apocalypse

Start Over in Zombie Apocalypse

A pause later, I said, "There wasn't supposed to be a seventh slot, but I called in a lot of favors with the top guys, and they reluctantly gave me one. Ah, that reminds me. One of you is not going to come with us, obviously." My teammates would've roared with laughter, but they stayed as composed as their bodies and minds allowed them to. Against fully armed soldiers, Yvonne would never try to start anything funny. Trembling, she looked at her precious childhood friend. "Yves, I—" Yves didn't even wait for her to finish. He was already approaching the soldier, his face filled with an unctuous smile. "Take me. I was a famous musician before the zombie apocalypse. I'm a lot more useful than t

Born to Slay the Apocalypse

Born to Slay the Apocalypse

"Lyra, your sister brought a man back!" I groggily opened my eyes as Jade Black grabbed my wrist and dragged me outside. Bitter wind and snow hit my face, making it impossible to keep my eyes open. Ever since the frozen apocalypse a hundred years ago, Earth had entered an ice age, and wind and snow had become the norm. Most of the world was covered in ice and snow, resources were scarce, and terrible blizzards occurred from time to time. Our serpent clan had migrated several times to survive, and the entire clan had finally settled in this barren wasteland.

His Betrayal in the Frozen Apocalypse

His Betrayal in the Frozen Apocalypse

Joshua explained, "You've been trapped there for far too long, and it's taken too much from you. You need to rest. Here's my ration. You need to eat something. I have to go now. The team's waiting for me, but I'll be back." Joshua went away in a hurry. I looked at the plate. Hardtacks, water, and a couple of dried dates. The apocalypse’s freezing weather was hard to endure—even for metahumans. This was the best the team could manage, given the food shortage. The food was cold, but my heart was warm. 'Maybe he still cares about me,' I thought. 'But what's going on with him and Irene? Is Joshua cheating on me?' I was going to tear the hardtack's wrappings open when someone outside complained,

Turns Out Cats Are Endgame

Turns Out Cats Are Endgame

] The mechanical voice rang in my ears. At the same second, the power grid died. The internet cut out. Lights in the distance blinked off one by one. It felt like someone hit pause on the world. Even the rustle of leaves sounded sharp. I eased up to the booth window and looked out. Inside my old apartment stood three figures—Alan, Bella, and Dylan. Of course they'd teamed up. A loudspeaker slid out the window. Alan's voice blasted across the complex. "Everyone, the apocalypse has started. I know you're looking for protection. I've got Caucasian Shepherds, a lion, and crocodiles. Any one of them can handle zombies. If you don't want to die, come join me. However..."

I'm in Survival Hell, You're in Party Heaven

Their eyes were empty, unfocused, and they were both wearing a strange, hollow smile. The rescue team leader stepped forward. "Mr. Sands? Mrs. Sands?" Dad suddenly clutched the tin of spam against his chest and shrank backward, his eyes wide. "Shh. Be quiet," he whispered, his voice shaking. "There are zombies out there. Going outside means death. "This is the last of our food. We have to ration it. We have to make it last." Mom nodded along beside him, completely serious. "One less mouth to feed. You'll get to live a few more days."

The Apocalypse Survival Manual

The Apocalypse Survival Manual(Three Days Before Doomsday, I Stockpiled Billions)

Being stuck in the same cramped space day after day got old fast. After the New Year's, the holiday officially ended. Bundled up in layers, Hughie's group planned to head outside for some fresh air before they all went stir-crazy. "Nicole, you coming?" Three years into the apocalypse, Nicole had already adapted to this kind of life. "It's too cold." Not long after the three of them left, the walkie-talkie crackled. "The cold-resistant potatoes sprouted." Life had gotten so painfully boring that even potato sprouts managed to spark Nicole's interest.

This book is truly amazing! It’s everything you’ve ever thought about the end of the world and more, yet still realistic. You become entrenched in the characters and how their story lines play out and intersect. Excellent writing
Latisha Wood
Great story line! Believable characters with just enough intrigue to keep it interesting. As soon as you think you have it figured out, a new challenge or character is introduced in line with survival. Morality vs survivor is the overarching theme.
