Dear You (ENGLISH)

Dear You (ENGLISH)

Gabriella Tan
“Of course. How could my parents spend a lot of money to teach me to learn a language that they think is less important?” “You’re awesome, La. Will you teach me Korean?” begged Arga. “You want?” I asked. Arga nodded excitedly. With a passion that is no less passionate, I teach Arga to speak Korean. Still at the basic, level starting from hangul, greeting in Korean, to word that are often heard. “You’re really great, La. You are good at language,” praised Arga excessively. I’m laughing. Talking with Arga until late afternoon was also fun even occasionally the man teased me, matched me with John.

Where We Are

Where We Are

He wasn't wrong. I turned back to the phone, brushed Jaehyeon's hand off and spoke in Korean. "You will have to wait a little longer before you can hear me speaking in English. Sorry. I have to catch up on my foreign languages." I knew very little Chinese and I knew Japanese at a conversational level. While I could follow English without an issue, I wasn't too confident about being able to speak properly. I was only comfortable with Korean. I could at least say 'Sorry, International True' in English though. Should I?

My Soulmate From Korea

My Soulmate From Korea

I inquired in English. His beautiful eyes enlarged as his plump chops parted in...astonishment? He stared at me as he gingerly took a small step towards me as if I'd run away any instant. Finally, after a moment he asked, slanting in slightly. "Y-You can see me?" he asked pointing at himself in.....Korean? He's a Korean then. I know Korean because I boast a crazy hobby of learning novel languages and cultures every summer vacation. I know almost eight languages. I only studied Korean last vacation, it has now come in handy, I speculate?

Taming Sunrise

I smiled and slightly bowed at the server. “Cheonmaneyo.” The Korean girl also dipped her head before leaving. “You know how to speak Korean?” Kim looked at me surprised. I wrinkled my nose and smiled. “Just the ‘kamsahamnida’ word. I’m not really sure what she said back to me.” They laughed at me. “She said you’re welcome.” My head turned at Caleb. “Really? Wait… you know how to speak Korean?” “Finally! You noticed me.” He sarcastically exclaimed. “Yes, I studied it for a project.”

Amazing story so far, I love it. You pull readers in directly from the first chapter. I had a hard time putting it down. Absolutely one of my newest favorites. Thank you for your hard work as a writer.

Truly enjoyed reading this story! The only thing I would say is I wish there was either Dawn POV or Caleb POV at the beginning of each chapter or at the changes throughout the chapters when the POVs changed between the two. Other than that, really well written!! Good job author! 😊

Luna's dedication to learning about Korea was fueled by her desire to return to Seoul one day. One evening, while scrolling through social media, Luna stumbled upon a Korean language scholarship program offered by a university in Seoul. Excitement coursed through her veins as she read the details. The program offered an opportunity to study Korean language and culture for a year, fully funded with a monthly stipend. It was a chance she couldn't pass up.

The Chosen Bride

The Chosen Bride

"What languages do you know?" She looked at me more seriously now while the others ignored that I had just shut her up. "French, Korean, Russian, Japanese, and English," she mentioned, and I nodded. "I said I have a goal to learn some Korean since the community has grown a lot in recent years; sometimes children struggle with the change," I said, downplaying the rest.

Tears of a sad Goodbye

Tears of a sad Goodbye

As I went out of the bathroom, the smell of the food that Joash was cooking welcomed me. I smiled stupidly imagining my life with him. "YAH, neo geogi usgo meongcheong hae?" He shouted. I did not understand what he just said. I just smiled and walked near him. "The only Korean word that I know is SARANGHAE, so I'll take those words as I love you too, okay?" I said and laughed.

i could see the eel texture as Ken is cutting the eel to a small pieces, and carefully laying them on the barbecue grill in the middle of the table. "It is right~..I found this restaurant on the web…my korean friends even recommend them….anyway's since when you can speak korean??…". I have been speaking Korean to communicate with local ever since we got here. I simply told him that, thanks to my boosted status I now can easily learn other languages, right now I already mastered Chinese, Korean (Both north and south), German, Spanish Japanese, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic even Thai. When you had a lot of time in the other world it's easy to do it.

Their eyes widened even more as they hear Karina speaking in Korean. 안녕하세요 치구늘 (annyeonghaseyo chingudeul) – Hello Friends! “Woah! We just migrated here years ago but we’re planning to come back to Seoul after I finish my studies.” Karina explained. “Actually, I am inviting Lou to come. If you want to join, you can! I’ll tour you in Seoul!” She added.
