"I said it once, but I will say it again: I already approve of you, Emilie," Laura lifts her cola glass in my direction, smirking. "I'm all about witchcraft and auras. Yours is pink, and I like that about you. You would never betray your friends."
A pink aura? I'm tempted to g****e that, but Cindy grabs my attention by clearing her throat.
"And I invited you over because I believe I've misjudged you. I thought you were a scaredy-cat, but you stood up for yourself, and I admire that," Cindy's smile returns. "So, I would also like to be your friend.
