Chapter Seventeen – Baptism by Fire The helicopter spun in a sickening spiral, blades screaming against the wind as smoke poured from the ruptured engine. I was out for five days, and my trip home took me a day. When I got in the lake, I realized her house was surrounded by three mountains and this way was the only way out.
