Chapter 5: Trouble
My breath hitched, I didn't know what to say. She was mad, no furiuos towards me. How did it became my fautl. My mate instantly stood in front of me and order her to step back. She bowed her head yet looking at me angrily. She ran back to her daughter and cried louder. They carried her daugther and we were left here with our parents. "Are you okay?" He wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed my head. I didn't want to cry in front of them to prove that I am not a weak Luna. I forced myself not to cry and keep my composure still. "Bring her in." Alpha Kaleb ordered my mate. "Let's go in." He whispered and gently pulled me. "No, we should help her. She just lost her child." I insisted and no one agreed with me and they went inside the house. "Let's go," my mate softly said gently led the way into the house. They were sat on the long table, my parents were there, the gamma, Luna and the Alpha. I never expected that my coronation day would turn out like this. I knew what they were thinking, only one thing could be in their heads, the curse. Life of an elder was sacrifice to cut that curse, I'm hope that what happened today was only a coincidence. "Sit down, Luna." I should be happy to be addressed that way. Yet I felt ashamed causing this kind of trouble right after my coronation. I sat down and the past Alpha gave the chance to the new Alpha to speak. "I know that we didn't expect this to happen, I'm sorry." Kylo held my hand and slightly squeezed it. "I will fix, father." "How will you fix this? The curse was too powerful! Soon as she was declared at the Luna someone died and a family is mourning for her death." The Gamma interjected and the Alpha obviously agreed. "The curse was undone, and a life of an elder was sacrificed, I am sure this is only a coincidence." Kylo stood for me and my father was on his side. Again, I was the one who was causing of this kind of discussion. "I hope so, my son. We were never sure about that, the elder died he may be sacrificed his life or he failed." Luna Lorraine was right. I always adore her courage and the authority in her melodic voice, a great Luna indeed. While I was this weak and fragile Luna. "Mom," he gave him a warning look so I squeezed his hand gently to calm him down. "I was only stating the truth, son." I noticed that the past Alpha was quiet and intently looking at me. "I'm sorry I have caused so much trouble, I never wanted to be a burden to all of you. I hope I know what to do to solve this trouble." "You have nothing to sorry about, you did nothing and promise to do everything to fix this," Kylo said. "The Alpha is right, none of this is your fault. Let me handle this and be with your wife for now, she needs you." Alpha Kaleb said and he ended the discussion there. Wanted to protest but I didn't know how. "Velle honey, rest for now, okay?" My mom said and gave me a gentle hug. "That incident was saddening but today is your coronation day, smile even a little." "Okay." When will I be brave enough to do what I want and not what they say. All I do was to say okay. Maybe because, I knew they were right and I truly not good at decision making. My father gave me a kiss on my forehead and they left. "Listened to your mother, your should at least smile at our special day." Kylo said so I hugged him. His touch somehow comforted me. "I'm sorry if I always give you headache," I appologized. I felt really bad about what happened, they should be happy, we should be happy since today is our coranation day. "None of this is your fault, it was just a coincidence." What if it wasn't? "Still, I caused trouble again. I think I don't deserve to be the Luna anymore. I am weak-" "Shh, don't ever say that again. You caused nothing harm to anyone. You are just being you ang bad things happens everyday." He kissed my forehead so I nodded. "We'll let this pass for now."*** Before I could opened my eyes, a smile stretched on my lips and turned to Kylo. I wanted to hugged him but I only found pillow beside me. I opened my eyes dissapointed waking up without him. I thought he would wait for me to wake up before leaving me. I prepared myself and went out, "Luna, the Alpha requested you to stay in your room. Your breakfast will be serve in." An lady Omega approached me and led me the way back to our room. "Why? Did he mention why?" I was confused yet walked with her back to out room. "I'm sorry, Luna but the Alpha mention nothing, he only specifically order you to stay in your room." I could sense that she wasn't feeling good. "Are you okay?" She flinched when I asked her if she was fine. She bowed her head. "I'm okay, Luna. I'll go get yout food now." I nodded and let her leave me here alone. Why do I have to stay here when we have a problem to solve outside. "Kylo," I called him out but he wasn't responding. Maybe he's out there quiet far from here. After a few minutes someone knocked on my door so I opened it. I was surprised to see other face, it wasn't the omega who approached me. "It wasn't you who supposed to send this here." "She has some other thing to do, Luna, so she asked me to send it instead." She was avoiding to have eye contact with me. She's lying. "You're lying." "Luna I- Alpha us to-I mean I am I lying yes, I... I volunteered to bring this because...because I wanted to congratulate you personally. Congratulation, Luna Lavelle." She only became more obvious that she was lying. "Tell me what happened." I ordered her and she looked away. "She's sick." My suspicous gut feel turned into worry. "Really?" I walked to her and unconsciously touched her but she was burning hot. "Are you okay?" She fell on the ground and my eyes widen. "Kylo!" I screamed his name to asked for help. I held her head and lightly slapped her face. "Kylo! I need you!" I shouted louder, my hands started shaking. The door flew open and Alpha Kaleb got in. He kneel and checked her pulse. "She suddenly fell down, I didn't know what happen it was too fast." I failed to receive a response and my father came in. "Dad, help her. We should call a healer." "She's dead." Those words deafened me, I feel like my back suddenly flared up, "Dad..." I didn't know what to do so I called my dad. He went to me and held my hand then I lost it, my tears fell uncontrollably. "Alpha Kaled, are you sure?" She was very well just a while ago, how can she drop dead in a snap?" "Shh, we'll figure out what is going on," my father said and he wiped my tear. Too my confusion why was Alpha Kaled looking at me intently? He seemes wanted to tell me something. "Velle-" "Velle!" A voice cut him and we all turned to the door went it flew open and my mate ran to me. He touched my face and checked me, "what happened, are you okay?" He was panicky so I held his hands and squeeze it softly. "I'm fi-ne..." my voice cracked so I cleared my throught. "Son, I need to have a word with Lavelle." Alpha Kaleb stoop up while looking at me. "Not now, she's not well." He helped me up and he guide me to my bed. I couldn't intervene when I noticed his mood switched into very serious. "Then when?" His father didn't seemed to like what he had said. "We need to make sure-" "WE ARE MORETHAN SURE, son." I felt like crying when I realized they were about to fight about something I knew nothing. And my father was quiet, too quiet than he usually does. He should be in the middle calming both Alphas. "Dad, please. I'll fix this, she doesn't need to know about this, beside I know how to fix this alone." "Velle, the curse-" "Dad, I think that should be done by me?" Kylo cut his father, I wanted to held my mate's hand to calm him down, he might anger the Alpha, although they were both Alpha and Kylo was the current Alpha, it was still his father. They didn't need to tell me, I knew it was the curse. "Lavelle my love, I need you to listened carefully," I nodded, "Do you promise to be strong?" Did he see me that weak? "Of course." "Do you remember, Laia and the curse?" He asked and the memories came in my head. "How can I not." I replied. "We will do everything to fix this, I promise to work on this. Nothing is your fault, don't ever blame yourself. It was her curse not you." I nodded but my tears were unstoppably. "I'm sorry." I have caused so much trouble. Maybe I don't deserve to be the Luna. "Shh, none of this is your fault. You don't have to worry, I will do everything to stop this. We'll figured this out." He hugged me while my father was looking at me with the saddest look in his eyes. "Where is mother?" My father looked away, " don't tell me she..." I didn't need to ask what happened and I ran to our house. I ran to their room and I saw her there lying in bed. "Mom, momma are you okay?" I held her hands and it was cold as ice, he was sleeping like a rock. "Dad, dad what happened to her?" They followed me here. "She's unmoved when I woke up. I don't know what happened." His voice was too weak and sounded fragile. "The curse." He added and I fell on my knees hugging my mother's arm. "Kylo do something. We should do something." I cried hard, he was carressing my back while nodding. "Half of our pack are in her state, sleeping but not dead. Ten died today." Alpha Kaleb said and I felt like sinking. What I have done? I stood up and wipe my tears. "What should we do? I need to do something, I will help for me people." "Everyone that had interaction with you died excluding us your family, I recomend you to stay in your room until we find the solution of this problem," said Alpha Kaleb. "Dad, isn't that to cruel to Velle?" "What do you want, let our people die?" I stopped my mate. "I understand Alpha, I will stay inside for the safety of everyone." My mate kissed me on my forehead. "I promise to do everything." He said and we walked back to the pack house. We went straight to our room which would be my room alone from now on. I heard Kylo ordered everyone to leave the pack house. All the omega were drove away, they all left the house and I was left alone. I sat on the floor and lean on my bed. Guilt and self pity was killing me, I saw how good Luna Lorrain's life being the Luna. And I only ruin the peace they built. "I am the worst Luna they ever had. I am cursed to be their misery."Chapter 79: Epilogue“Bring him back…” I was begging her to do that. I was ready to kneel in front of her. I have no right to ask him back because I was the one who killed him. I just wanted to see him again. To hold him again. I was filled with pain and anger brought me to that situation. I was blinded by their accusation that Zild only used me. I let them taint him. I was doing things that I thought served them right for betraying me. And it was too late for me to realize that I went too far. I lost him before my eyes. “I could not bring back the dead. You wanted him to die.” I couldn’t say I did not mean it or any excuses for my actions. I was losing my hope, but I looked up to her and kneeled. “Then take my life so I can be with him.” It was desperate, I know. But I knew I would not be able to live like this. If I couldn’t have him by my side then I’d rather die. “How about the thing that you fought for? The purpose that you carry on.” I looked around and saw my peopl
Chapter 78: Clash of Hearts The three men were the Legend Vampires. The two pure ones and one half-blooded. Zild was snarling at them while Gael and Ryvan stood behind him holding their swords. They were the three princes who came from a Royal family that was supposed to be the Kings of their clans. Everyone thought they were alone, but a werewolf walked in and stood in front of Zild. He had red fur and stood with power. He growled harder than Lavelle did, and his voice was filled with power. His power was recognized by the werewolves. He was a direct descendant of the Royal Alpha. Zild stood up carrying his mate and anger was visible in his eyes. “You have no right to do that ritual anymore!” He said and Minerva walked closer. “We have no choice! She had cause—” “Leave!” She flinched when he snapped at her like that. “You can’t handle her—” “Are you saying I cannot handle my mate, Minerva?” She looked around and she knew that they could not fight against them. The werewo
Chapter 77: Execution RitualShe slowly turned to the main door with a smile. She saw Alpha Zenith with the witches with her. Soon she noticed that the whole palace was surrounded by werewolves and witches. “What a lovely visitor.”“Do not harm the child, Lavelle.” “And had guts to speak my name with her filthy mouth.” The Lavelle she was talking about was entirely different from the Lavelle she knew. She had hopes that she could do it, but she lost it and now she had to be executed. Alpha Zenith stands back and lets the army fight her. Countless spells flicker from their wands and Lavelle easily repelled at once. “It was a mistake that you stepped into my territory.” Some started to fall because of the heavy force that surrounds them. Soon the werewolves broke in through the window and attacked her. She swiftly moved to avoid them and using her hands she quickly stabbed their heart. She raised her bloody left arm with a smile. “Do not worry, this would be quick and not pa
Chapter 76: The Mad QueenShe realized that it was truly Lavelle who she hated so much. She started crying in anger and pain. “You are no different to me, Laia. Don’t tell me you have forgotten what you did to me?” “Liar! Lavelle can never do something like this! She’s weak!” The mad Queen started laughing at her and pointed to herself. “Do I look weak? Tell me, Laia, do I look WEAK?” She sobbed harder. “It doesn’t mean I appear weak, I am weak. I appear soft-hearted I am weak. I could crash you like a lemon anytime anywhere I like. And it doesn’t mean I kept letting your cruelness pass, I will let it pass forever. I did nothing even if you ruined me before that doesn’t mean I wanted you to keep going.” She raised her hand and was about to slap her, but her nails were out. She clawed her across her face, and she passed out. She looked up and raised her hand. She was smiling like everything that was happening was pleasing to her. She walked back to the palace and as she passe
Chapter 75: Emotional TortureIt hurts, I knew it hurts but I could not believe it. It was impossible. Vien died long ago. “She was reincarnated they say, and she recently remembered Zild.” She said like she could hear what I was thinking. “As I said before, Laia. You cannot fool me again.” “Do you want another proof that I met them and talked to them?” I glared at her. Only if she was on the ground, I would’ve jumped to her and torn her head off her body. “You better shut your mouth.” “Oh, give me a sec.” She vanished and returned in a few seconds. “They gave me this, ask me if they could return this to you.” I could feel my anger getting out of control within me when I saw who she was holding. “This puppy is kind of huge.” “Lefu…” “And it's heavy—ops!” She suddenly dropped her, so I jumped away from Argon to catch her, but she was fast to catch her first. “Laia! She has nothing to do with us. Let her go, she’s just a child!” “She’s a puppy, can’t you see?” She eve
Chapter 74: Almost Won‘Radian told me,’ She said. As we entered the palace it was clear that they were losing. Until I came with tied hands. Everyone stopped and my people was forced to kneel on the ground. Everyone was looking at us. I let them down again. “Is that how you really fight, Queen?” One of my men shouted. “It was nothing back when I saw you fight against King.” My eyes widen when I heard that. I fought against Zild? I hide my emotion and did not show I was confused. When did I fight him? “You are truly a disappointment,” Argon said and dropped Jane carelessly. “I wanted to play with you but you’ve killed a valuable ally, so I need to punish you.” He said and got his katana. Jane tried to stand up but he already point his katana at her. “You can’t do that,”“I can! I can, Lavelle. In fact, I can cut every one of you one by one. You may kill every werewolf here. It doesn’t matter, they are Kylo’s army. With or without them, I can take you down.” “You better n
