There’s an hour left for the moon to rise and my blood hums in anticipation. Donning the robe, I make my way to the lake. It is a twenty minute walk and the cool air makes me calm down. As I stand on top of the rock, I look to the sky, taking in the sight of the full moon, a hint of trepidation enters my blood. The last time I stood here, things had not gone well. “This time will be different,” I promise myself. “This time, Max will be mine.” At first, I mistake the soft laughter for the whistling of the wind.

A way for my pack to show off their female population. My eyes scanned the crowd but neither really saw through the mass of bodies nor heard far due to the music blaring from the speakers. The fairy lights covering the pillars and the railings were eye-catching but what stood at the spotlight was the moon. I might have forgotten it was a full moon night today. How magnificent it felt, to be under the moonlight that seeped through the clouds, falling on us from time to time. A male gestured me over, and despite my nerves, I approached him with a curtsy when I sensed the power coming from him. He smelt of gamma blood, a third in command or the warrior wolf.

Her eyes were silver and she wore a silver dress that shimmered in the blue light. Azura was mesmerized by the woman’s beauty. “Come my child,” the woman spoke, her voice so serene. Azura stepped closer. “I’ve been waiting for you,” the woman said softly. “Why? Who are you?” Azura asked curiously. “I am your mother and mother of all wolves. I am the goddess of the moon. I am Selene,” she replied with an earnest smile. Azura was taken aback at her response. “But what can I do for you?” Azura said confusedly. “My child, you are special. You are my gift to my children. You are the key to end Leus’s evil,” she said smiling again. Azura was still confused. “But..how am I suppose

Their laughter fills our home with warmth, and their love is a constant reassurance of how lucky I am. Every night, when the moon rises high in the sky, I take a moment to thank the moon goddess for the gift of my family. Selene, with her bright smile and curious nature, always finds a way to make me laugh. She has this incredible ability to see the beauty in everything, and her enthusiasm is contagious. Kingdom, on the other hand, is my little protector. He has a kind heart and a strong spirit, always looking out for his sister and me. Together, they make my world complete.

It was a sight she had never seen before. Some part of her wanted to reach out and comfort her mother, but she knew she had to stand her ground on this. Luna, we could be an example for other packs to follow,”

The moon goddess finished explaining. “There must be a way to help her win over the darkness?” I ask hoping to find a way to help my daughter. “I wish there was something that could be done but there is none. It's up to Isabella to fight her darkness.” The Moon goddess replied. This was so twisted and unkind. On the one hand, if I choose to die, Kaden is going to be evil again and if I choose to live we will partly live a happy life until we have children. And let's not forget I would be setting Lycaon free.
