Chosen By The Moon By Izabella W Novels & Stories

“Wait… you guys just prayed to her and she answered your call?” The woman nodded at Oliver’s question and looked up. Although it was still fairly early in the evening, the moon could vaguely be seen in the bright sky, guess even rogue worshiped that idiot goddess. “She has the wolves best interest at heart, which is why, we welcome you here… Dylan, the one chosen by the moon.” I awkwardly glanced at Oliver and cringed slightly at the lane title that had given to me. I mean what was I supposed to say to that. “You were our second gift from the goddess herself.”

Raina had been chosen by the Moon Goddess. She was the Chalice. She was given the highest honor to represent the Moon Goddess’ ideal of a true Moon-kissed Luna. He didn’t believe she had fully grasped that yet… that she was never supposed to be chosen by the World Council, because nothing thrived in either the light or the darkness of the World Council. She thrived in both light and darkness of the moon. Some day, she would understand her importance and she would take the world in the palm of her hand to rule it. Many would worship her. He would forever worship her in more ways than one. What she didn’t understand was that these wolves weren’t here for him,

"You... all of you. Wolves. Beasts. And that woman... Isabella... she said the Moon Goddess chose me. She said I was bound to you before I was even born!" My voice rose to a hysterical pitch as tears spilled over my cheeks. "What kind of sick cruelty is this? I am a human being! I had a life, a quiet existence, and you dragged me into a bloodbath! I don't care about your ancient prophecies, I don't care about a throne, and I will never be your Luna!" Zayden didn't roar. He didn't snarl. He simply took one slow, deliberate step toward me, the water parting silently around his hips.

The pendant warmed against my chest in response, and Damian’s mouth curved into the faintest smile before silver rippled through the reflection and his image began to fade. I stayed where I was, watching the empty glass long after he had disappeared. Whether any of this was real was no longer the question. A few moments earlier, dozens of strangers had looked at me and recognized a power I did not even understand. They had called me the Moon. One of them had called me Queen. And now I needed to know why.

I said confidently as I do the same thing that he was doing earlier, “Isabel, the next Luna of this pack, became the Chosen Mate of the future Alpha of Purple Hill, upon your recommendation because she was one, a powerful mage from a pack or a mage society that none of us heard except for you. Two, she will bring an alliance that would make Purple Hill stronger, but as far as I know, I have never seen which pack we made an alliance with since she came. Third, Isabel, a Luna in the making is always nowhere to be found and for some weird and questionable reason, she is always with you. Now that the facts are all laid out, who has a more questionable background between Dana and Isabel then.” “S

Running in heels isn't that difficult, I must say. I held a small box in my hand wrapped with some shiny paper and yellow ribbon on top, the birthday girl's favorite color. The only present that I could afford for her was this handmade pendant that was her name molded with metal wire, with a rose quartz shaped as a crescent Moon, fixed on the top of her name's last 'A'.

Her eyes were silver and she wore a silver dress that shimmered in the blue light. Azura was mesmerized by the woman’s beauty. “Come my child,” the woman spoke, her voice so serene. Azura stepped closer. “I’ve been waiting for you,” the woman said softly. “Why? Who are you?” Azura asked curiously. “I am your mother and mother of all wolves. I am the goddess of the moon. I am Selene,” she replied with an earnest smile. Azura was taken aback at her response. “But what can I do for you?” Azura said confusedly. “My child, you are special. You are my gift to my children. You are the key to end Leus’s evil,” she said smiling again. Azura was still confused. “But..how am I suppose

Aaliyah tells him, her voice was a little shaky. “You should also know that she is blessed by the Moon Goddess. She has powers that can bring plants to life in any spot. A direct link to the Moon Goddess herself and both wolves glow. Felan has found her mate, but just doesn’t know it yet. Neither will know until much later when it is time.” Mack continues. “It is also Felan’s plan that I am about to tell you. We don’t have much time and I know I have just hit you all with a bombshell but I really need you all to listen and focus if we are going to pull this off.”
