He had a serene smile on his face as he held the Bible open, ready to officiate the ceremony. He was no longer a kid, his beard was slowly growing, but his warm ebony eyes were the same. They were the eyes that Khana had once gazed into and had seen her soul. The same eyes that had loved her like no other.

I snap in a snarky tone. “Fair point, I shall continue to refill your glass then.” “Thank you,” I say as I take another sip, then take another deep breath as my foot taps anxiously against the footrest of my stool. “So, this new God…” “His name is Azadou. God of Malice also known as the Demon God, and the creator of the eyti,” they explain, walking over and placing a plate in front of me along with a fork, but despite the dish looking absolutely delicious, the thought of food entering my stomach right now makes me want to hurl.

Jayden whispers in shock. My head is pounding and I feel dizzy. Tara is Keturah, the moon goddess. The woman who has been helping me all this while is the moon goddess? Everybody in the room does the same including, Jayden. I keep sitting, trying my best to see through the tears that have clouded my vision.

“I wanted to bring you to the garden of the Kitsune. True nine-tailed fox shifters are rare, but this is where you originated. This place is no longer part of the human world an lays outside of time and space. It is a place where you can come and be renewed and revitalized now that you have been here. Your body is still with your mate, though you both slumber from the surge of the gift I have given you. It is a power you will need in coming times.” As she draws closer, I turn and see a woman who looks much like a statue out of one of the great temples in Japan…the moon god is Tsukiyomi and is male, but this goddess…is it him as a female? “Gods often make their children in their image. I have

The divine being looked at me, her eyes shining with ancient wisdom and infinite power. "Who is she, my Goddess? How can she see me? What kind of vision is this?" I asked, my voice trembling with anxiety and confusion. The deity then transformed, assuming a human form. Her beauty was as radiant as the young woman beside her, and the resemblance between the two was undeniable, almost as if they were reflections of one another.

“You have the same power as me, I know. And that is why you are here. This is a call from a Deity. And I’m calling you to unhitch my supremacy to end the chaos triggered by my dissipated goddess.” “Why me?” I ask him, but he just answers me with a sad smile. “Because the only way to bring back the Equilibria is to bring back the Tranquility first.” THIRD PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW From the Heavens, the Deities gape on the realms in chaos. They are all here to ask for help from the Highest, yet His answer never changes. They pity their people who suffer, but their power was no use. “That’s everything we could do,” Dahlia, the Goddess of Terra, said as she sent her

He gave me a full smile revealing his perfectly white teeth, his canines sharp. "Yes and no." "What does that even mean." I quizzed, giving an awkward laugh as we headed out into the hallway. Balthazar walked through the halls leading the way as if he had been here a thousand times. He, indeed, was quick at learning everything. "It means that I am a deity, but I also have a form too. While the other deities can create life and give them magic, they are never able to shift. But for me to create demons, I had to become one. That's why I'm so much stronger than my siblings or any of the other gods and goddesses. I thrive off of two kinds of power, one coming from

The only difference is that deities were once human, and were gifted with the power of immortality and each with their special abilities and responsibilities. CHAPTER TWO: WHY DO DEITIES EXIST? I said with a smile as I took in the expression of wonder on each of their faces. “What? You didn’t think God would let paradise go to waste just because a stupid girl ate an apple, did you?” “At this point, I’m willing to forget anything I thought I knew before I met you, love.” Blake had already wandered ahead, carefully inspecting his surroundings, but Aiden remained by my side, his grip on my hand still firm. “So, God is real then?” Aiden asked as we wandered through the garden. “Of course. God, Zeus, Jupiter, Odin… whatever you wish to call him. We know him as the all-father.”
