Novel & Cerita Descendants Freddie

I just finished reading the last book when I started to write Descent for real! The title when this was still a draft was actually ‘Can’t Help Falling (In Love With You)’ because I was listening to the same song only the dark version at the time. But I got annoyed because I felt it was too freaking long to be a title. For a time, I settled calling the story "Fall from Grace" in my head but it still felt wrong... so when I searched for a synonym, the meaning of the word descent.. clicked; it feels like it perfectly sums up the entire plot.

“You’ve got the two strongest people in the pack watching over you. No one’s touching you.” Freddy’s eyes fluttered closed, soothed by Darius’s tone. “I never had a real dad,” he murmured, barely audible. My heart clenched. Darius’s eyes met mine over Freddy’s head. Something raw flickered there shock, emotion, hope. “Maybe I could be” Darius said softly. Freddy let out a tiny yawn and shifted closer to him. “Good,” he mumbled sleepily. “Night, mum. Night, dad.”

She would finally get what’s coming to her. “Freddie, tell the truth about what you did at the hospital. You used my name to elevate yourself and claim my inheritance. You poisoned me, you tried to kill me Freddie, after everything we have been through. You are no brother of mine, you are a fucking traitor!” I told him stepped back, letting my voice carry the weight of my resolve. Freddie’s eyes blazed with fear, and I could see he was realizing the depths of his fall. “I’ll fix this, Allie, I’ll do whatever it takes!” he begged pitifully.

he shouts questioning glaring at the wall. “My children and their late father are descendants of Gwanhoya!” Takada answers him from the entrance of the cave, “How do you know that name?” “I saw it in some sought of a vision or dream, I do not understand what it was but you confirming that for me means I was not hallucinating!” “I understand, that is why you passed out at that time!” “Yes, but I don’t understand, if they are her descendants why is she causing your family so much trouble?”

“Now listen -” “What you’re doing is wrong Gabriel. These descendants pose no threat to you or to humans. Quite the contrary in fact.” It was that word again. Descendant. Descendant of what, he wondered. “The way you think of yourself is also wrong, but it is not your fault. You should have been educated in our ways. You should have been mentored, although your hunting is quite unique. I’ve never come across a vampire that tries to kill, what he thinks, are his own kind. Not in all these years.”

All their attention was on Jessica. Freddie had spent his life as a warrior, achieving great military glory. He retired at 40 years old, married, and started a family. His son, Jonathan, was now 28 years old. Freddie himself was 68 years old, nearing his twilight years. Jessica Cook had just turned 18 years old. She was born when Freddie was already 50 years old. Having been born to him so late in his years, she was a rare gift. Thus, it was no surprise he spoiled her rotten.

Elijah shook him out of his trance, "Freddie! Son! What happened?" Freddie finally acknowledged Elijah and his rage returned, making it hard for him to formulate the words, "Th-that bastard! That traitor! He is gone! I can't find him anywhere. He, his scent is everywhere. He knew what would happen to him if he stayed and that is why he decided to run away like a coward. And to say, he wanted to dethrone Dom!"
