I quizzed. “The drug isn’t pure Wolfsbane like the one you had, child,” Dy softly replied. “The drug is prepared after mixing crushed bones of dragons in it,” he revealed. “That’s so gross !” I exclaimed. “The saddest part is that these men have resorted to kidnapping and even dragons in Dragon Land are not safe !” he disclosed. “Let me go to Dragon Land then,” I simply said. “No way am I sending you again on this mission,” Dy firmly said.

The Helm of Awe covered my left shoulder and on my right was Valknut. Yggdrasil was in the middle and flowing from the roots of the tree was a wolf head. On either side of the wolf was a Jericho 9mm, Kiran’s personal touch to my Zeta mark. From the bottom of the roots, down my spine, was a ghost rune designed by Malachi with my name Jericho adorning the top of Yggdrasil. An hour and a half later Marcus was finished and I put my shirt back on. Tonight I would have to undress with every member of the pack present and shift for the first time in my life.

I whisper. The wind moves through the trees, carrying a chill that has nothing to do with the night air. That night, the dream comes again, sharper than before. I’m standing in a cavern so massive I can’t see the ceiling. Chains thicker than my body stretch across the space, pinning a colossal dragon to the stone floor. Its scales are black as midnight, but they shimmer with veins of molten gold. Its eyes are ancient and burning and lock onto me. Rhea. The voice isn’t sound, it’s in my bones. I take a step forward without meaning to.

“She and a few others got mixed up with the dragons. Not the big guys, just some of the little ones, what do they call themselves? Amphithere. They’d been going to some sex club down in the city, and Sean said she had been getting into some pretty heavy stuff, experimenting with silver. Silver play, drugs laced with silver… I felt her death, Daniel, it was slow and painful.” Daniel had heard rumors of the dragon underground sex clubs. All dragons, no matter their kind, had a voracious appetite for lust, greed, and destruction. The clubs allegedly helped them channel that in safe, consensual ways, but there were always dark whispers about the full truth of that. He filed the information away

The one standing in the center, a stunning drakaina with high cheekbones and delicate eye ridges, turns her head towards our liaison to speak in a bell-bright voice that hits me with the resonance of a perfectly formed crystal. “Set the box before us,” Liaison Everly translates a moment later, “And take several steps back; this process can be dangerous.” Responding instantly, our group takes several steps away, forming a near-perfect ring around the mysterious treasure. The technicians glide forward, their movements smooth and rolling, as if the stone beneath our feet also moved to their whim. Whatever type of dragon they are, their connection to the element of earth is strong, perhaps even

At that moment , Charlotte , holding two glasses of wine , walked towards the balcony and remained surprised when she saw a woman talking to king Damien . ' Who is he talking to ? ' thought Charlotte surprised and peeked a bit at them . She noticed the dress and saw that it was a female dragon that approached Damien . The female dragon had silver hair , red eyes and had worn red lipstick on her lips . Her horns were grey and she had a powerful independent aura . Her dress was shiny and showed clearly how wealthy he was . ' What is this beauty doing here ? What business does she have with him ? ' thought Charlotte then looked at Damien shocked when she saw he had taken off his mask .

Bethel sounded almost deranged. Seraphina looked from Bethel to Rose and Melanie who were all stood waiting. Seraphina felt her cheeks flush under their stares and then slowly started to pull the arms of her dress down to reveal the large silver dragon that started on her left shoulder and gradually made its way across her chest, stopping slightly before where her Dhampir markings sat.

“Chains.” His expression hardened. “How many?” “Seven.” Silence. The gold in his eyes dimmed. Emmy knew that look. He knew something. “Ignis.” “We need Dimitrius.” “What are the seven chains?” He didn’t answer. “Ignisvath.” His jaw tightened. “The oldest dragon stories say there are seven bindings beneath Dragontooth.” “Bindings for what?” “I was taught they were symbolic.” “You don’t believe that anymore.” “No.” Another tremor.

My fated mate shut me out of our bond for the ninety-ninth time just as the last spark of dragonfire inside me began to die. I walked into the Oath Hall of Obsidian Keep alone. Black stone stretched beneath my feet, cold enough to bite through my slippers, and every step made the cracked channels around my dragon core grind deeper into my chest. “I’m here to renounce the Obsidian Court and dissolve my life-bond with the Dragon Lord.” The clerk took in my bloodless face and lowered his voice. “Lady Ashton, once I set the seal, the Court will no longer be required to protect you. Are you certain?” My dragonfire had been unstable since birth, leaving me weaker than most dragonkin. When I was te
