The HIDDENS
Back in my quarters, Fatima and I pored over the council records, searching for anything that might connect one of the members to Gregory’s death.
“Look at this,” Fatima said, pointing to a name on the list. “Eleanor Mayfield. She was removed from the council about eight years ago for... misconduct?”
“What kind of misconduct?”
Fatima scanned the notes, her lips moving as she read. “Looks like she was accused of embezzling pack funds, but it was never proven. She’s still around, though—lives just outside the main territory.”
I frowned. “You think she could be involved?”
