The Rogue Healer's Secret

The Rogue Healer's Secret

Near the center of the table, Fenrir's empty chair remained entirely untouched—a quiet, heavy reminder of the redemption and the friend they had so recently lost. Elyria stepped forward, placing a weathered, obsidian stone tablet onto the center of the table. "This script... it is older than the Seven Fragments themselves." The ancient carvings were jagged, eroded by time, and almost impossible to read. She traced the grooves with her fingertips, translating them slowly for the room: > "When the Eighth Throne awakens... > The Child of Dawn shall face himself. > One shall become Hope. > The other shall become Despair."

A Squire's Journey

A Squire's Journey

Days turned into months, but they never faltered. But their work eventually led to a thesaurus containing Zonian old words and their modern translation. To test it, they translated the first three lines they extracted from the tablet, and the results are better: “Love, face of weakness” “Our eyes differ from each other.” “Some can hear footsteps, others heartbeat” Now, the Zonian tablets, poem, and sonnets will have their contents uncovered by Julie's hands. Julie shook with excitement and congratulated William on both their hard-earned work.

A Queen Among Tides

A Queen Among Tides

I try to think if I’d read or heard about anything like that or seen anything like that kept in our vault, but I’m coming up blank. I shake my head, “I can’t recall seeing anything like that,” I say guiltily. It’s the one thing they ask for and I can’t give it to them. “This tablet, does it have glyphs on it?” Lemuel suddenly asks, surprising me. Isolde begins to nod furiously, “Yes! It’s written in the language of the Gods. Have you seen it?” “I think I have, and so have you,” Lemuel says, looking at me.

Another amazing book! I feel as though each book is my favorite in this series and I love the representation. This particular author has an amazing way of challenging vernacular and using it to empower her characters. Her world building has you vested in the outcome of the story and characters.

The Elven Princess

The Elven Princess

Having surrendered their own weapons at the entrance of the Palace to the Satyr, they had nothing but their hands to get rid of the firm ivy. Their hands were badly bruised, but it took surprisingly little time to remove the plants. Once clear, the marks on the giant stone tablet became abundantly clear. On the left, there was a circle carved with six holes. The stone beneath the tablet glowed blue, and when Aelanor pressed on it, a cabinet opened up. Six stone tablets were inside, bearing rough hand drawn marks: (A symbol of a bell) (A symbol of an apple) (A picture of a mountain)

The Final Cut

The Final Cut

He was showing four jaded aristocrats into it, they acted with patronising disdain, but they were expectant, as if some particular entertainment had been promised. Isimud opened a large silver chest and took out some oversized clay tablets with cuneiform writing and grotesque images. The aristocrats crowed round the tablets, their gleeful expressions soon turned to frowns of disgust and they began to cry out in outrage. The shadowy, blurred figures of the Anunnaki were released from the tablets and the aristocrats were released from the prison of their flesh. The vision moved closer to the tablets until they filled Jimmy’s sight. The hardened clay became soft and insubstantial, changing shap

The Way of the Dragon

Looking at the Omnipotent Divine Tablet, Amber suddenly spoke. As soon as he said that, everyone's face changed slightly. Could it be that Zephyr Khan was more horrible than Yang? "I'm afraid it's stopped in a certain world... After all, no matter how amazing and terrifying a Lv 7 Agility combat strength is, it can't compare with an elite disciples!" Dewey Hobbs said slowly. "Rumble" All of a sudden, the Omnipotent Divine Tablet trembled. "The experts of the ninth world have come out..."

The Forbidden Mates

The Forbidden Mates

The creature turned and walked, then stopped and looked at them again. "Let's follow it!" All three then followed the tracks of the strange beast. Meanwhile, in the human world, Karmen was in the neglected courtyard of the Garden, with Ross and Tyler by her side, and the tablets levitating. She repeatedly read the texts inscribed on the tablets, arms wide open and eyes closed. The relics became unstable and a cool breeze blew through the city of Newcastle. The sky rumbled, announcing a heavy rain. The tablets began to crack and eventually shattered completely. Leaving room for the two fragments of the moon that attracted each other like magnets. They merged into one piece and around it, a vo

The Forgotten Titan's Resurgence

It was a true godlike being. "That must be the Solar Titan Physique, with the nine sun-like spheres forming behind his back. That's pure dominance." Gideon was in complete awe. Turning the Tables on Life

Turning the Tables on Life

Many people were willing to pay a handsome sum for Blake's notes—they weren't easy to find, yet I'd gotten a bag full of them without even knowing it! I couldn't believe Mr. Stone was Blake's father! Lila hadn't gotten these notes in her past life, yet I'd gotten them because of my kindness. My shock grew as I went through the rest of the notes. They were neatly labeled and arranged by subject and difficulty. This was a priceless treasure that had been bestowed upon me without me even realizing it.

A Deal with Desire

A Deal with Desire

Focusing on the image of unity, of working together, Evie held the book out towards the guardian. The creature's gaze fixated on the book, its red eyes flickering with curiosity. A low rumble emanated from its throat as the images from the book seemed to bleed into its own consciousness. It tilted its head, a gesture that could be interpreted as understanding. Emboldened, Evie flipped through the pages, focusing on different emotions – trust, strength, purpose. With each image, the bond between them seemed to strengthen. The guardian's initial apprehension gave way to a sense of tentative acceptance.
