The wolfsblane seemed to keep the sire bond at bay and for the first time in a long time, I felt like the old me. I headed to the bathroom but heard a whiny feminine voice downstairs that I had never heard before. I decided to not pay any attention until I heard her voice call Brett’s name. “But Brett you said I would be your chosen mate!” This mysterious voice declared. Now I knew exactly who she was. “No Alicia I didn’t, you just assumed that!” I could tell by his tone he was already getting frustrated with her. “I have found my fated mate and she will be my Luna.” I smile at his words, until I hear his father.

“Luna, these reforms you propose, they go against everything the Harem stands for!” “Ah, huh, are you sure? I was still sitting on the bed in a daze when David returned. When he turned on the light, he suddenly pulled out a bouquet of flowers from behind his back. Hearing those words, I held back a bitter smile. Did love from a he-wolf always come with conditions?

Even from a distance, the sight of him sent a pull through her chest so strong it made her breath hitch. “He is still as handsome as I remember,” she smiled internally Larson noticed her focus and leaned in slightly, his voice low. “That’s Betha,” he murmured, tilting his chin toward the girl linked to Damian’s arm. “Fake Luna and fiancée-to-be. And trouble. But we will stop her, only you can be the Luna Queen.” Layla’s stomach tightened, but she quickly turned her eyes away. One wrong glance too long, and Betha would have all the suspicion in the world.

"You introduce yourself to all Brett's victims or should I term you picky?" Luna laughed. It was soft and calm. She was beautiful indeed. Even more in person than in pictures. "Nope. Maybe picky if I hadn't a boyfriend. I have this feeling I know you from somewhere. Just to be sure, have we met?" She scrutinized the hat-hidden face. Her lustrous hair was unusually in a French braid and her examining ultramarine eyes shone in the sun like a glass prism. "Not that I remember. I'm Gianna by the way." It took everything in her to not fake-name herself as she saw Luna's eyes widen. A gasp escaped her small mouth.

Luna was not naive to believe it was her looks or status that drew his attention. In the appearance department, Luna's looks were average. Not even able to hold a candle to Mika and CeCe. Then there's her status as princess/heir of Lunaris, which was proved today to be nothing but a joke. So why did every time he looked at her, warmth radiated from his icy blue orbs?

Luna smiled, "Aunt Renee, I heard Pierre is in the hospital. I came to check on him." Renee forced a smile. "You're so thoughtful. Come in." Renee actually liked Luna a lot. She always knew Luna liked Pierre, and she liked Luna, too. Although Luna was not as beautiful as Shelly, she was the heiress of the Jewells. If Pierre married Luna, it would benefit both Pierre and Alfonso Holdings greatly. Moreover, Luna genuinely loved Pierre. Unlike Shelly, who just used Pierre as a backup. She never liked Shelly.
