Fallen for the Dark

The fog swirled around us, shadows pressing close, danger breathing down our necks, but it didn’t matter. Every nerve, every heartbeat, every thought belonged to him. Obsession had claimed me, fire had claimed me, and I didn’t want to escape.
He captured my lips in a slow, consuming kiss, electric and relentless. Desire and danger tangled, obsession and surrender igniting every nerve. My hands found his coat, clutching, trembling, needing him entirely.
When we broke apart, barely able to breathe, I whispered, “We… we’ve crossed it, haven’t we? The line?”
